Return of the Fallen Volume 7 Chapter 96

Kazuki had no arguments, nothing to contend. He understood a while ago what his strength was compared to Zetrazz. If Kazuki could shatter mountains with a fist then Zetrazz could shatter a continent with just his magic alone.

“You are a paper tiger and I am the one above all in this lower realm. This type of power is something that isn’t out of your grasp. As long as you follow my teachings, then maybe someday.”

Kazuki nodded.

“Teach me.”

Zetrazz gathered his dark energy and inhaled deeply. After about thirty seconds, he exhaled heavily. With this breath came dark energy mixed with aura. Kazuki was already sitting at this time but the second Zetrazz released this breath Kazuki fell face forward as the pressure came crashing down on him.

(Heavy, so fucking heavy. This is even stronger than when I was inside his lair.)

Kazuki was both shocked and surprised. He was inside his own soul world. Right now he was in a form made by his own mind. Not something physical, not an actual body yet Zetrazz’s breath crushed him as if he were still back in the abyssal trench, no, far worse. This was like several mountains steadily piling up. One stacked on top of the other. It was so much pressure that Kazuki felt as if his mind was splitting, there was actual pain.

Kazuki was forced flat on the ground and he couldn’t move whatsoever.

A moment later though, Zetrazz once more inhaled deeply. All of the aura and dark energy crushing Kazuki retreated back into Zetrazz as though it had never been there in the first place.

Kazuki slowly sat up as Zetrazz explained.

“The power I just released was obviously a combination of energy. One from my soul and the other from my magic. You should be familiar with something similar. I saw in your memories that Glacious black fire is a fusion of both the element of fire and the element of darkness. Not only do you already know of that lizard’s power to fuse elements but you have tried to copy him on several occasions. Most recently you created a shitty technique combining your ki, aura, and magic. The results of which have almost killed you.”

Kazuki came to a realization at this moment.

“You can combine your aura and magic so flawlessly!? I thought Glacious was the only one who could fuse magic yet you as well are capable of this!”

Zetrazz became annoyed.

“Since when did I fuse magic with magic? I do not have a second element. I am darkness incarnate. Other magics do not compare. I fuse my darkness with my aura you idiot. What I do and what Glacious does are similar but different. If you properly learn how to master this technique then you to will be able to use Aura Breath.”

“Aura Breath?”

Zetrazz seemed to roll his eyes at this time but Kazuki couldn’t tell through the dark haze.

“Yes, Aura Breath. This technique is my pride and it is one of the main reasons I have stood on top for so long. This technique directly increases the strength of both one’s soul as well as one’s magic. A stronger soul means a stronger aura etc. This technique also allows one to directly affect the soul of another being up to a certain range. The effect can be as little as weakening your opponent’s aura slightly, causing a bit of pain, all the way up to directly crushing and destroying their soul entirely. Once their soul is destroyed, they’re no better than a mindless puppet, and death awaits them.”

Zetrazz slowly inhaled once more as if he were about to release his aura breath and Kazuki felt a chill run down his spine.

“I get it I get it. There’s no need to keep breathing on me is there?”

“Heh, you think I’m doing it because it’s fun…Well, I’ll admit it is a little fun but it is for another reason. The best way to begin learning this technique is to directly experience it. After you learn this technique, your soul and magic will constantly improve little by little as long as you do it. Once you learn this technique, your manipulation and control over your own soul rises dramatically. I’ve seen you fail to try to combine your magic as the ugly lizard does. Even with a good deal of his memories and knowing exactly how he does it, have you not wondered why you continue to fail to fuse your magic.”

It was like a bolt of lightning struck Kazuki at this moment as he answered.

“Control!”

Zetrazz chuckled.

“Hehe, exactly. You lack a certain amount of control over your own power, over your own soul. You wield it like an infant who still feeds from his mother’s breast. Wild and unruly, stupidly and chaotic like. Don’t feel too down about it though, although your control is absolute shit, it’s still a tiny bit better than other dumb humans. Compared to this immortal though and even that ugly lizard, you are like a grain of sand, and we the great expanding shore.”

“Alright, I’m small and your big, I’m dumb, and your smart. Can we just start now?”

The dark energy swirled around in Kazuki’s soul world.

“Hmm, do you really understand the gravity of what it is I’m saying right now? Once you learn this technique and your control rises, that interesting little technique you used to bring together multiple energies, I’m saying you won’t need the dwarf to make a weapon for you. You’ll be able to fuse the energies all on your own.”

Kazuki froze. He had been thinking only about finally being able to use Glacious’s black flame as his own but if what Zetrazz said was true, then he would be capable of doing so much more. Kazuki though began thinking even beyond that.

(I’ll be able to use Glacious’s black flame and even the fusion of three energies shouldn’t be a problem but then what lies beyond that. If three energies combined could destroy me, could destroy energy itself, then what would happen of four energies combined. What if it was the element of fire, darkness, ki, and aura. What type of destruction could I lay to this world.)

Kazuki could feel his mind start to tremble in excitement but a thought suddenly occurred to him.

“Zetrazz, you said it yourself that by experiencing your Aura Breath first hand it would help me learn this ability. Yet we are inside my soul world. Don’t get me wrong I can still feel your power but it is different from experiencing it directly with my body. Would it not be better to do this outside in the real world.”

The dark energy pulsed and Kazuki could hear a slow clap ring out.

*Clap clap clap*

“The answer to that is duh you idiot. Experiencing it directly with the body and experiencing it with your mind and soul is beyond obvious but last I checked you have little time. Did you not ask me how you can grow in a short period of time. The outside world passes ever so slowly while in here, time is a hundred times or more. A day out there would be one hundred in here you fool.”

Once again it was as if Kazuki was struck with a bolt of lightning. This realization that he could train inside his soul world, had never crossed his mind but it made perfect sense. Even if he can’t train his physical body, he could still train his aura and magic. Had he thought of this sooner, who knows the heights he could have achieved by now.

Kazuki didn’t like Zetrazz one bit but this idea of his made Kazuki see him in a different way.

(If he’s been using this technique to train, it’s no wonder he’s at the top of this world.)

Kazuki began to wonder deep down how there still hasn’t been a clear winner between the immortal Titan Zetrazz and the dragon slayer Glacious. Both had advantages in certain areas and both could use such powerful techniques.

(Just how strong are the two of them really?)

Kazuki could see a vision of the two clashing and going all out and with it, he could say for sure that the world would most likely end on that day with its destruction.

“With all of that shit being said, let’s begin. Sit!”

Kazuki did as he was told and sat on his ass.

“As I release my Aura Breath I want you to feel not with the mind nor body but instead with your own aura and with your own magic.”

Zetrazz inhaled deeply and before Kazuki could usher a complaint, he released a Heavy breath filled with both his aura as well as his dark energy.

A gush of pressure descended upon Kazuki like a mountain and the longer Zetrazz released his breath, the more the weight of said mountain grew.
