That being said, at the current moment I am a cool little race called the Flame Hell Knight!

If you worry about something as small as race, you are bound to lose from the get go! And you have to cherish your roots at the same time! From now on, I will call myself a Zombie for the old time’s sake!

Anyway, look at this equipment that I have right now! I got myself a convenient little bag here called a “Magic Bag” that I received from a human man I helped just the other day! And I tried matching the equipment inside it with Golem-kun’s armor! Isn’t it super cool?

To be honest, I don’t know what these numbers even mean at all, but…… There are a bunch of numbers lined up, right?? That means it looks really strong!!

Well, there’s no point in thinking about complicated things, and I won’t understand anything from it anyway, so I will just ignore these numbers for the time being.

Anyways! Look at this equipment!! It looks pretty good, doesn’t it? My skull is still completely exposed though……

No, seriously, it is such a good thing to help out other people! But that being said, there was hardly enough meat on that guy to feed Ravan off of it, and it wasn’t even all that tasty to begin with!I If I could obtain such nice items from helping others, I would help every single human that I come across.

I have gained a lot of new Skills as I have evolved and leveled up, but the one I should mention here is “Fire Resistance”. After all, my Skill Level reached its maximum after being burned by the Fire Dragon three times.

Normally, I would have been burned to ashes before I would be able to get anything out of it, but I was lucky enough to avoid death. That being said, the first time I was burned, I seriously thought that I would die for sure, it was so hot and painful and it was so terrible…… I thought barely dying was just pure torture, but my Skill has grown tremendously so I guess I was just lucky!

Well, thanks to this Skill alone, the attacks of the monsters on the volcanic island did not reduce my HP at all, and it felt cool even after being in the desert for several days. It was a defense mechanism that made me nearly invincible against heat! (Smug!!)

「Gyuiiiiii!」

(Huh? Ravan, what’s wrong?)

「Gyurururu……」

Ah, I see. So you are just thirsty……

His stomach was visibly full and bloated after eating that giant worm, but it hasn’t really drunk any water for a while now. I didn’t notice because I don’t need any water at all myself. Sorry, sorry about that!

But finding water in this desert region is going to be…… Huh?

I could clearly see some patches of green and blue in the distance. Was that…… an oasis, perhaps!? Ah, but there’s also a settlement nearby…… That means humans live there. I would rather not get involved with humans if I could help it……

I rode Ravan towards the oasis, but as I got closer to it I noticed that something was clearly odd.

Despite the presence of a settlement, it did not feel very crowded at all. Also, human-sized ant monsters were wandering around the settlement as if it was their own place.

Well, human troubles have nothing to do with us! Now, I go to the lake to get a drink of water, but…… Yeah, I guess that those ants are not going to give me their water all that easily.

As I landed near the lake, I was surrounded by ants monsters crawling out of the ground.

The whole oasis area was probably their nest, but even so, there were just too many of them to easily comprehend……

Does this mean…… They have caused a massive outbreak for some reason, causing the human settlement to collapse? And then, with the abundance of food, their numbers have increased even more? I see, I see, that’s a brilliant deduction if I may say so myself!

I know they have a strong sense of territory, but they are showing their hostility to me as well. I guess I won’t be able to drink the water unless I exterminate them all. That being the case…… There’s only one thing to do here!

(Ravan, if you beat up all of them, you will get to drink as much of that water you have been longing for as you want!!)

「Gyuuu!!!」

(Yes! Atta boy! Now go out there!)

A swarm of ants was coming at me all at once. I put some of my Magic Power into the Fire Moon Spear and swung it sideways, slicing the ants so easily that they turned into corpses right away, scattering vile liquids everywhere.

Ravan also tore up the hordes of ants that were coming at him, throwing them away, tearing them up, gnawing up on them some more. He was exterminating them really smoothly, but there was no sign of the number of ants decreasing at all.

Even so, could you stop using your breath to attack them? You are burning me alongside them, you know? No, I’m still pretty much unharmed, you know? It hurts a little bit…… but it hurts mainly my heart……

Well, there are still a whole lot of them, but each ant was not all that strong individually. In terms of rank, they were probably around High D or Low C.

As expected, the difference in strength between me and them was so great that the experience points I got from them were minimal, but for Ravan it was still a good way to gain experience and knowledge, and from a quick look, it seems that he has eaten over two hundred of them……

「Gyuruah!?」

Ravan’s body twitched and he instantly blew away the ants around him with his tail before crouching down.

Ravan was a mutant from the moment we first met, but I figured that if he leveled up, he might evolve into something even more powerful, and that turned out to be true.

I turned my back to Ravan and turned to face the ants. After annihilating all the ants that came towards me, I turned to Ravan and saw a huge, deformed dragon sitting there.

It was a giant creature, about fifteen meters long, with a rough, reddish-brown body that reminded me of lava.

The dragon’s appearance was also pretty unique with three heads, twelve tails, and three pairs of wings growing out of its back. It was the kind of creature that inspired awe in all who would see it.

I could understand that it was still Ravan, but I was also surprised that my body flinched the way it did. If I was not a Zombie, my eyes would surely have physically popped out of their sockets!

Oh wow, but even so, it’s pretty scary. The species name is…… “Gorynische”?

It is the kind of a name that is somewhat hard to pronounce, so I will just call it Lavan from now on!

Or maybe it evolved irregularly because I just happened to tame it……?

Well, anyways, it looks pretty cool, and with three heads like that it will be way more lively than before!

That means it was the best evolution ever!!

Ah…… But does this mean I that I can’t go to human cities at all……?
