Nanana’s Buried Treasure Volume 7 Chapter 7.8

In this case, the highest possible hand for Nanana is four of a kind. However, there is one king in Sansa’s hand and one slightly below the middle of the deck. There is one ace somewhere at the top, but the remaining two are clustered at the bottom of the deck. Looking at the other possibilities, this is not the case. If she gets something, it would be a straight or a flush. No, in this situation it would be more likely to be a two pair or three of a kind.

Sansa looked at the cards in her hand, put them down, and went into deep thought. She tapped the cards with her fingers and lowered the right corner of her mouth slightly. She blinks six times, scratches the tip of her nose three times with the ring finger of her right hand, and then glances over to Nanana.

Looking through her left eye, it was clear that Nanana had been watching all of this without missing a thing. After 43 seconds had passed, she announced her decision.

「No change.」

She emphasized the ‘n’ with her accent as she made the announcement. She never took her eyes off of Nanana.

In response to this, Nanana showed all the cards in her hand to check them.

Nanana’s hand was 2 sixes, a king, and 2 aces.

So there was another ace in Nanana’s hand after all.

Nanana discards the king and takes one card, keeping an eye on Sansa’s reaction since she is likely to be peeking. It was likely a four, five, or eight. It turns out the card was an eight. Nanana has two pairs of sixes and eights.

By the way, at the moment that Nanana turned over the card that was an eight, she saw Sansa’s mouth turn up ever so slightly. This was because Nanana was watching her carefully while checking her card.

When asked if she wanted to bet any more chips, Sansa waited ten seconds and then declared, 「I’ll bet two chips.」

In response, Nanana folded at this point. Since the game was over at this point neither player revealed their hand. Sansa took one of Nanana’s chips.

All of Sansa’s many actions have meaning, and she does all of them intentionally.

There are two main reasons why Nanana is caught off guard by Sansa’s actions.

The history she has with Sansa Kurosu is enough to make Nanana Ryugajou firmly believe that she is someone who can defeat her. The history of the many battles that Nanana and Sansa had in the past when she was alive.

And she is proud of the fact that Nanana is able to read certain specific habits differently from others.

Incidentally, even now that she is dead, Nanana still doesn’t realize that ability itself was a poison that Sansa planted in her.

I thought as I watched the two of them playing their 《forced acquisition game》 on the monitor at our base in the great hall.

I see, I’m beginning to understand what Sansa-san is doing to Nanana-chan.

She is making Nanana-chan run away. In general, if Nanana-chan doesn’t give up the fight, she basically always wins.

But Nanana-chan doesn’t just rely on luck and rush in headlong. It was because she thinks through the game that she thought she was going to lose that hand.

She always goes easy on me when playing with me, but when playing with Sansa-san, she’s strangely cautious. Or is Sansa-san doing something to make her act like that?

There is some sort of mental game going on behind the scenes. Bluffing, lying…

While watching these two battle using these weapons to their full potential, I can’t help but wonder; is this all I have to do to beat Nanana-chan? Could I win like that?

Those were the words of someone I remember enthusiastically talking about a horse racing game at an arcade.

A little way away, that man was staring intently at the confrontation between the two on the monitor, not missing a single moment. Those were the words of this man, Ikusaba Hiiyo.

I return to watch the match between Sansa-san and Nanana-chan while continuing to think about it.

It’s not a case of trying my hardest to win.

Unless you are willing to try your hardest, you won’t win.

There is no doubt that Nanana Ryugajou will win against Sansa Kurosu.

The result of this 《forced acquisition game》 is 3-2, and Nanana-chan stole three chips from Sansa-san to win by six chips.

This resulted in 180 coins being transferred from the Young Lady Team to the Cat Ears Team.

At the end of the 24th turn, the Cat Ear Team splits their coins with Sakura Team and the Great Detective Team.

Detective Team (blue spade): Detective & Thief – 450 Coins

Sakura Team (yellow diamond): Yamato Nadeshiko & Military Uniform – 450 coins

Lady’s Team (green club): Lady & Servant A & Servant B – 619 coins

Cat Ears Team (red heart): Cat Ears Mask & Cat Ears-chan – 462 coins

At one time, the difference between the first and last place teams was over 1000 coins, but now it’s 169 coins. Given how many laps are left, that difference could easily change.

Each team is within striking distance of our Young Lady Team.

「Yo Yama Juugo. Go and talk to the Sakura team and make a 《transaction》 with them.」

Sansa-san, who had just returned from her match with Nanana-chan and was looking up at the monitor while leaning back in her chair at the base, just suddenly says this.

「Young Master you are always so… mean.」

Yukihime-neesan turns her back on me.

What can I say…? Sulky Yukihime-neesan is so cute!

But no, that’s not the point. The question is why I’m able to see such a super rare Yukihime-neesan that I don’t usually get to see.

「Yukihime-neesan?」
