I’m still confused and don’t understand the situation.

Looking down at me, Sora-neechan says, 「So today you put on a fancy suit and went out with Tensai-senpai… It was important, and it’s rude to ask what you were doing… Basically, it was a confession.」

He went down the stairs leading underground and found a door that looked like the entrance to the <ruins>>. He opened it and was just about to step inside when a strange woman came out of the <<ruins>> and called out to him.

The woman reportedly smiled at the confused pair.

「You’ll be able to find the conditions if you search the buildings on the surface carefully, so come back later.」

A moment later, the two of them were standing outside, as if they’d been warped. This was truly a strange event they experienced.

Taisei, who is nicknamed the <<conqueror>> for having beat more <<ruins>> than anyone else, had a hunch.

「If there’s a guardian, then it must be named… That’s troublesome.」

Following the turbulent events that occurred outside Nanaejima during the first half of summer vacation, the students overcame the intense events that occurred in the second half after returning, and somehow managed to safely enter the second semester.

「So..sleepy.」

After all, I’ve been cramming my summer homework for the past few days. As expected, it was irresponsible that I hadn’t even started on it in the first half. Even so, the amount of homework Nanaejima has is ridiculous. And if I didn’t do it, I’d be expelled. No joke.

By the way, Sora-neechan and Ulysses-chan, who have become closer to Nanana-chan and Tensai than I am, are transferring to Nanaejima Second Middle School today.

「It’s been a while, Juugo.」

In front of the school, I happened to bump into a familiar face: Tetsunoshin Tsujimi. And…

「Hey, Yama-senpai.」

Behind is Yoshino Saki, aka Yun-chan, with her distinctive bright smile.

「It’s been a while since I seen either of you.」

「Juugo, can I talk to you for a moment?」

「I want us two to join the Adventure Club.」

Tetsu-kun immediately blurted this out as we moved to the back of the school, where there were fewer people around.

Naturally, I was surprised.

「Can I ask why?」

He then told me about the situation Yun-chan had been in wince the <<game>> before summer vacation, and how she had lost most of her memory.

Yun-chan, clutching Tetsu-kun’s clothes tightly, looks down.

「It seems like a lot of things happened, and I don’t remember much. I vaguely remember some things, but not much. I do remember… a little bit about the Nanana collection. So if I trace that back, maybe my memories will come back.」

Yun-chan looks up.

I ask, 「Why do you want to regain your memories?」

「More than wanting to regain my memories, I want to erase my anxiety.」

「You want to erase your anxiety?」

「It’s possible that if I were to remember something, the things I take for granted now might disappear again. But even if I want things to stay the way they are right now forever, they may change anyways. I absolutely hate that.」

「Yun-chan.」

「That’s why I want to know everything. What happened to me, why I lost my memories, and what would happen if I got them back. And I want this present to remain unchanged forever.」

Tetsu-kun gently stroked Yun-chan’s head.

「I’ll pursue it forever if I need to.」

I understood this resolve. So I dared to ask, 「Can’t you do that at Sansa-san’s place?」

The Three Skulls is undoubtedly the top organization among the underground forces on Nanaejima. With Sansa-san being its leader, it would be safer to rely on her. Plus, the two of them are members of the Three Skulls.

「She’s my anego, and the Three Skulls are my family. But… that’s exactly why… I don’t want to rely on them. I want to fight as Saki Yoshino, Yama-senpai.」

Apparently, this was the conclusion she’d reached after much consideration. Hearing that, I had some thoughts of my own.

However, the only person in the clubroom was President Isshin Yuiga.

Feeling relieved for the time being (no, I wasn’t scared of meeting Ibara-senppai. I was scared for the new members), I briefly talked about Tetsu-kun and Yun-chan. Hearing that the two wanted to join the club, President Yuiga (who was sitting in a chair) put his hand to his mouth and thoughtfully considered the matter.

「So does that mean they can join?」

「Of course.」

Even though Yun-chan had stabbed Yuiga, he readily agreed. I was half happy and half confused.

「Summer vacation is over, and we’ve safely entered the second semester. It’s perfect timing now to have new members.」

The Adventure Club president, Isshin Yuiga, was still sporting his refreshing smile.

「And so, I have decided to disband the third generation Adventure Club.」

「Huh?」

I couldn’t believe my ears.

「As the current captain, I have no intention of saying, ‘I’ll leave the rest to you’. I intend to put an end to the third generation of the Adventure club, which I founded. Even so, if Yama-kun and the others want to keep the Adventure Club going, I will respect those wishes.」
