Ahh, usually when someone is saying things like that, it means that there was some sort of trouble with the taste and they just did not wanted to sound offensive. But this thing right here is…… Alright, Owner! What do you say about that?
「Rather, I get a feeling that the way in which this was prepared used some method other than simmering. Some local cooking technique, perhaps?」
「Ah, I see.」
Alright, crisis averted, so I guess it calls for a celebration, instead? Okay, so let’s raise our glasses and have a toast! …… Even though I would make mine with a glass of juice.
「But I must say, the Little Girl Sensei is also really bad here. And I don’t mean it like your manners, because that’s something entirely on its own to point out. Look, poor Wimp almost had a heart attack because of your words……」
「…… What are you even talking about?」

「No, see, I said that I came here to do some business, and clearly that little demonstration right here was obviously a part of it all? Or was it, really?」
「No, not really…… I came here to do something completely unrelated to you guys. I just happened to carry something that I wanted to give you, and since you were here, it just so happened to make my job of finding you a little bit easier.」

What the, so are you telling me that probably the fastest little girl in the entire game is being used as a simple courier to pass on messages and deliver letters? That’s actually…… that’s actually kind of messed up.
「It seems that us “Wandering Swords” have received a message from the currently governing King back at the old continent, asking us for our cooperation in certain matters. Just when I was hoping to get some much needed time off…… That’s what this is all about. Apparently.」
So, long story short, something really big and explosive is starting to loom over the horizon? It’s really interesting and all that, but if I don’t get a move on right about now, I am really going to be late for school! So I must log out and log out right now! 「Huh? There was a gas leak in your school?」
It was at the moment when I already had my shoes on and was ready to go out to school. I have received an urgent message from the school. It seems that there was a gas leak somewhere in the vicinity, and it was an issue that pretty much everyone anxious beyond belief. So it was an emergency, but it seems that I would have today’s off as the necessary repairs would be finished in the evening or tomorrow morning at best.

Geh, seriously now? Now, it was not the “cleaning” in the normal sense of the word. No, at our house, “cleaning” meant that mother would be taking care of all of her bugs, for which she would always advise the rest of the people around the house to go to their rooms and keep all the other doors closed so to prevent any bugs from escaping their confinement by accident. And believe me, there is no worse way to find out that some strange and horrifying bug managed to escape than seeing it all of a sudden on your ceiling or hanging in the air right in front of your nose…… N-Not that a thing like that ever happened to be before, no sir! Absolutely not! And surely no mother would ever be more concerned about the well-being of some stupid bug named Leonardo rather than the well-being of her own son who almost got scared shitless by the sudden experience.
「Mom, please don’t let those things run wild in here again, okay?」
「Well, can’t make any promises. After all, it’s that kind of a season once again.」
Yeah, let’s just hope that we won’t be finding any larvae stuck to walls or hanging in mid-air on the second floor. That’s all I ask here. But yeah, let’s go back to the world of ShangriLa Frontier for the time being……
Logging in……
Waking up in one of the guest rooms inside of the Church of the Three Gods, I get up and get on my way to the “Snake’s Apple” café. It wasn’t all that long since I have logged out, but somehow I am afraid that that idiot Survival or some other guys might actually end up doing something stupid when I won’t be looking.
「Hm? Weren’t you going to get some rest for the time being?」
「Well, some urgent business came up, so the rest can wait.」
「Hooo……? Ahh, that’s right. About that previous matter, you know, the one that Tias-tan was talking about? It goes without saying but there is some serious gag order about it as of right now.」
「Hm?」
A gag order?
「Apparently this contract with the current king that the Bounty Hunters have is a secret one, not known to the public. So it may be a while before we are going to see some true action again…… Yeah, so if you want to do some PK out there, best to do it now before things start to get busy.」
「………… Seriously?」
「Yeah, I also happened to overhear that it might be related to the fact that the current king and the Thirdrema’s top bunch are no longer on speaking terms or something like that. Maybe that is why they want all the talk about “Avengers” to quiet down for now.」
Hmm, I see…… I can already say from those conversations that the relationships between people in the kingdom is a complex issue that is best to be left all alone if we know what’s good for us. Otherwise, we would need to be prepared to get ourselves into one hell of a mess to deal with. There is no reason to see the so-called idiot judgment, but if the Bounty Hunters want us Avengers to lay low for a while, then so be it I guess……
「Oh well, no matter what this thing is all about in here, I think that we can use that free time of ours to do something meaningful in the meantime…… Say, Survivor? Are you free now?」
「Hmm? Well, yeah, I have nothing better to do for the time being…… What? You want to go hunting together or something like that?」
「Nah, that’s not it.」
Coming in here together with Wimp was an unforeseen consequence of having to fight against that “War Orphan” Extraordinary Monster. And that addition really managed to strike a blow to my already busy schedule. I really intended to do it tonight, but if it was possible, it would be convenient if there is a person who I know that has the abilities that I can trust to some extent. And what do you know, there is one such person right here!
「So, how about it? Would you like to try and conquer that whole damn thing on your own? Who knows, we might even succeed in doing so here.」
The destination I pointed out with my thumb was the huge metal whale ship sitting comfortably at the shore of the New Continent at the current moment ––––––
