ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 623: Let’s Talk About Swordfighters Part 1

[Kensei] Swordfighter Tactical Research Bulletin Board [Mysterious Sword]

11: Perigot
Salutations, everyone!

12: Palparon
The story itself has been pulled out from the main board, but what about the human-powered Holy Sword? Does anyone in here know anything about it? Perhaps something about its performance?

13: Last Night
Ah, you’re talking about the Tsuchinoko Style, right? I don’t really understand what’s the big deal about it all is.

14: Autumn River
Since it is a style that is not bound to any particular weapon out there, it can be used with pretty much anything that you want. Be it either a sword, spear or even a gun, So in terms of availability, it does not require you to be a Sword Saint or any other specific class like that.

15: Sholl
But you can’t control it remotely, right? Sword Saint’s strong point is that you can move either on short or medium distance with their abilities.

16: Perigot
They also possess a whole lot of flashy-looking techniques, but it’s definitely a role for someone who like to pull the strings of others from afar. In more ways than one.

17: Ram Field
But it is surely the strongest class when it comes to normal attack power and various offense-oriented skills.

18: Last Night
The STR correction of the player itself and the movement of the skill itself are all traced, but if it is transferred to the damage multiplier, it will be something that would just be begging to get nerfed right on the spot…… There is also magic sword with an additional effect to add to this whole equation, as if it was not really complicated already.

19: Chemurus
The Tsuchinoko System has no relation to the distance between the player and opponent because it is the player itself who moves around at explosive speed, but it is also giving off a foul smell that the movement speed must be so fast because of some additional spells or items. Maybe even a title.

20: Autumn River
Saiga-100 level of manual operation is something that is not achievable for the most of us, so it really reeks of a foul play in here.

21: Palparon
If you specialize in mobility, you won’t win most of the battles, right? Because you need attack power for that. And when we are given such a strong example, there is really no way left for any one of us to really complain.

22: Peach Dog
The reality of the Tsuchinoko Style is that it “specializes in mobility skills and pushes through with the minimum attack skills and the performance of the weapon itself.” It is something really specific, clearly not meant for the general audience to be able to handle on their own.

23: Ram Field
No, isn’t it more of a knot hole? It’s a no-look blind touch menu operation, even if there is a shortcut function, the menu operation is crazy! You know, from the operational and memory perspective. Doing all of those crazy acrobatic actions while operating your menu like that really takes some sick skills!

24: Last Night
That really doesn’t make much sense to me. How many brains would you need to have to pull something like this off?

25: Chemurus
I think it’s a kind of multitasking, honestly. You know, knowing what weapon lies where on the list without even having to look at it……

26: Boros
There are things that you often use, so it’s just the matter of remembering the movement of your fingers. Muscle memory.

27: Peach Dog
Or rather, the person himself is forced to bounce around in mid-air with a set of movements that closely resemble that of Sword Arts being cast.

28: Gade Apostle
“Skills that specialize in self-reinforcement”, “Combat power depending on external armaments”. It’s more of a type of fighting that is characteristic more for someone from a Production Sector rather than Frontline Warrior.

29: Kuragen
Was there even a theory about Tsuchinoko being a member of the Production Sector?

30: Palparon
Wasn’t there a theory that he is actually an Avenger or at the very least a class that is based on Karma values?

31: Chemurus
Is the Avenger really that OP of a class? The only thing that I know about it is that the conditions needed for becoming one are shit-tier difficult to accomplish.

32: Dedeman
It seems that you can take a considerable advantage against monster opponents, but honestly they seem just like a bunch of simpletons swordfighters who are just looking for an excuse to attack players and NPCs without consequences. So I’d say that they are rather a class that is focused on role-playing rather than actually being considered strong or weak.

33: Boros
I knew it was a rare type of class, but hot damn! This is like a knight trying to reach the level of King of Knights!

34: Sholl
What the hell is this even? King of Knights? It’s the first time I’m even hearing about this.

35: Last Night
It’s a hidden class that a player can adapt. It’s a class that becomes available to you once you become a Royal Knight under the direct orders from the King Einwurs. Of course, those are not the only conditions out there, there are plenty more of them. To put it simply, it is a knight who answers to King and the King only for all of their actions. Think about it as of a slightly more restricted Knight class.

36: Ram field
Is it really so hard to score such a class? I mean, with the current state of the kingdom in the Old Continent it should be relatively easy to achieve, wouldn’t you agree?

37: Dedeman
No, I just mentioned it as a type of a class, it’s basically a sub-class. Not to mention that there is also the recent change of the crowned head to consider, resulting in the conditions to become a knight becoming laxer than ever before. Plus there is an amnesty on a huge scale, but only if you are going to be of use to the current kingdom. Mind you, this is most probably caused by the conflict of the current Kings with the lords at Thirdrema.

38: Peach Dog
I wonder if only rogues or those with scratches all over their bodies are going to gather because of that……

39: Thunder Nut
I wonder if large-scale PvP is really going to become a thing in the Old Continent? It would be really weird, but also refreshing.

40: Super Magic Toaster
I would like to participate in an event like that, but only if it would not cause my Karma levels to plummet to the very bottom of the scale.

41: Gade Apostle
Guys, let’s not derail the board here. If you want to discuss all that, feel free to do so in the World Story Board or General Board. This is the Tactical Research Board of the Swordfighter Series.

42: Autumn River
The Tsuchinoko Formula is tough to recreate just by discussing it alone. Creating theories is good and all, but it would be best if we could see the real deal in action, performed by none other than Tsuchinoko.

43: Hyakutosai
Since I have connections to the “Library”, I might be able to get them to investigate the Holy Sword, Secret Sword Arts and Tsuchinoko Style. But then again, I don’t want to make any promises in case it all falls apart and nothing is gained out of it.

44: Perigot
No worries. Just try your best and we’ll see what happens next.

45: Gade Apostle
Yeah, just try your best. It’s the intention that counts the most, after all.

46: Thunder Nut
Yeah, try your best. No worries, no pressure!

47: Hyakutosai
・ Sword Saint
First of all, because it all depends on the Sword Arts and MP, this is the bane of existence for all muscle-brained swordsmen out there. But the performance seems to be effective both automatically and manually.
The expandability of the Sword Art is not so wide because it only corresponds to the number of swords at play, but it can be externally strengthened by the performance of the sword itself.
It is better to train your MP until you can operate at least three swords at once without really thinking about it. Please remember that your raw Strength does not equal your strength as a Sword Saint.
If it is an auto mode, it is strong against powerful monster enemies and some weaker human enemies, but the stronger humanoid opponents would require tighter control plus the management of aggro.
It’s really flashy, but the difficulty of preparation is not so different from that of a Sword Mystic.
It’s not as good as far as the upward compatibility is concerned to that of the Sword Mystic.
The biggest difference from the Sword Mystic is that it can be used without learning other magic spells.
