THWACK! I can feel it in my arms, the feeling of the sword sinking deep into the monster’s flesh! In the next moment the bear tries to shoot a bamboo spear my way, but I managed to break it into three pieces before it was able to even reach me. After that, the Attacking Bear lets out a mighty roar, but this one seemed to be different from all the other ones. It was a scream of severe pain rather than anger.
However, only the strongest beasts out there get to call themselves apex predators. So even though the Attacking Bear was clearly suffering and raging at its current predicament, it still continued to emit bamboo spears from its body, trying to take out the one who was now a direct threat to its life.

Then I activate the Deadly Secret Art “Utsurou Mikagami” once more, as it should attract all the Swimming Mines into one place and make it possible for me to mow them all down really fast.
And since the way in which this skill works is that it project the decoy image of the player in one place, it was really hilarious to see the Attacking Bear to just go towards the flat holographic projection and start to whale at it as hard as it possibly could. It was hilarious, but at the same time somewhat depressing, especially when you realize that even though it was hacking at it so hard and so long, this thing was not even realizing that it was having a decoy right in front of itself. But I guess that it only means that the quality of the illusion here was top notch.
Usually, it would be an operation done solely for the purpose of increasing the correction to the power of the R.I.P, but I think that the feeling of weight behind Memento Mori as I was swinging it around without that much of it being reduced was new and fresh experience. Not to mention the feeling of my entire body being dragged behind every single swing…… I guess that with its normal weight my preferable horizontal slashes are out of the question, so the only thing that I can do here right now is to switch things up to the ones that go from top to bottom and vice versa.
After another hard hit delivered to its body, the Attacking Bear lets out another roar filled with pain. Then it of course tries to counterattack with a bamboo spear shot from its side. All this time I manage to continue delivering blow after blow, although Memento Mori’s current weight prevents me from chaining attacks as effectively as I used to do under normal circumstances. This is a real shame, but I guess that there is nothing that can actually be done in here to make up for that. Or maybe there is? But I would have to make a decision here: do this with or without the equipment? It is then that I lower one of my hand and leave it empty for a certain object to arrive in it.
There was a large caliber revolver currently in my hand. And I rose it up, aiming with it towards the head of the Attacking Bear.
「Eat this, you fucker! Hope that you’ll find it tasty!」
I still want to believe in Aguacarte’s performance, but I tried to hit a few empowered shots right to the Attacking Bear’s face, thinking that it might actually end up stunning it or something like that…… But yeah, go figure. Nothing ended up happening. I seriously think that throwing gravel its way would be more of a successful strategy in here at the current moment.
「Alright then, then how about this?」
Fighting Stream “Clams of Farewell”, with an adequate weapon added to it, even if one hand is open as a “Bare Hand”, you can use that skill in battle without much of a problem, utilizing its full power.
Now, the final piece of the puzzle would be a skill, but not a normal one but a magic one instead…… I get a feeling that I might actually be cheating the system a little bit here, but at this point in time I don’t really give a damn when it comes to playing by the rules.
As far as I can read from the text, it is a skill like a magic spell that causes penetration damage by pouring the amplified bioelectrical current through the other party’s body, and seeing how penetrating attacks are the bread and butter of the Iai Fist style, it is something right up my alley. In a sense, this skill may be something that is going to end up as specifically crafted for me…… And here it is! A special skill developed to fight oversized wild beasts with your bare hands, in the action!
Unfortunately for the Attacking Bear, I have way too much experience with fighting bear-like monsters from other games across the years. So I know perfectly well what kind of stances bears tend to assume when they wish to perform some sort of a powerful attack. And at just the right time when it wanted to lounge itself at me, I release the skill accumulated in my hand and sent a bolt of electricity flying towards it, piercing its shoulder with so much ease that you would think that it was made out of butter.
Unfortunately, the player who was on the other side of the beast bot hit by the penetrating lighting as well…… Oh? But won’t you look at that! They are still alive! I’m sorry there, buddy, but please patch yourself up! You can do that no problem, can’t you?
「What’s more, I’ll let you have a taste through the sense of touch, not the actual tongue!」
Clear Sky Style “Twisting Cloud”, a skill corresponding to the Player’s STR stat that throws the opponent against the ground after first twisting its body in a spiraling motion. But it was not the Attacking Bear that I grabbed here, but rather the bamboo shoots growing out of its head.
Normally, it would be problematic to throw a thing like that since you would expect it to be all wet and slimy and impossible to grasp…… But those things are covered in soil and dead leaves, making them more than idea to grab, twist, throw and whatever it is in between that you want to do with them!
Gumuh! I then grab the Swimming Mine from the ground and throw it towards the Attacking Bear with one hand. No matter how long that eel-lizard thing is…… No, it is precisely because of that fact that the damage it can cause to the Attacking Bear is going to be so great!
A bamboo fish that appears on the back of Attacking Bear after being thrown its way with a screw-like movement, and then getting itself impaled by the bamboo spear that automatically grew out of its back in response. However, there is only one motion to do when the Swimming Fish dies – Explode!!
