ShangriLa Frontier Chapter 666: What Has Been Piled Up On That Blade For So Long Part 2
The Super-Voltage Fusion Sword that was swung down with all its might collides with the “Holy Sword” that was emitting some strong murderous intentions. After all, that weapon was a threat to the “Holy Sword’s” supremacy, and the proof that someone as insignificant as Sigma was able to hold her own ground against Golden Age.the power is sweet, and it is the proof above all that Sina can compete even a little.
There is the magical light worn by the Golden Age’s “Holy Sword” and the lightning emitted by the Super-Voltage Fusion Sword. Those two lights collide with one another, and emit a new, even fiercer flash of light. Huh? Sigma? Did you just back away a little bit? I told you to aim at the root of the Holy Sword specifically, but instead she was actually hitting the blade of the Holy Sword? Hmm, but still…… the place was slightly off, but it was still relatively close to the wounded and battered place, so I guess that’s actually alright?
「…… Kuh, propulsion…… antagonism…… disadvantage…… limitations…… expectations……」
BAGIN! There was an unpleasant sound like that echoing through the air. Then the “holy Sword” somehow managed to break through the plasma edge of the Super Voltage-Fused Sword and it was the sound of that blasted thing cutting through the weapon’s main body like a hot knife going through butter, but it was also something that both Sigma and myself managed to predict some time ago without fail. So in a sense it was not that much of a surprise to us, if at all.
But then again, once the “Holy Sword” cuts through the entirety of the Class Eight Armament and travel further while being swung down, it never managed to reach Sigma and cut her body in half. What actually ended up happening was that the “Holy Sword” swung right above Sigma’s head, because Sigma managed to duck just in the nick of time when the “Holy Sword” was passing her head by. Now, the missed blow managed to slow down and dampen the momentum of Golden Age, breaking it out of that annoying slalom movement. Then the rest was all about that inertia and centrifugal force being at work and doing their own things. The only thing that Golden Age was able to do in order to stop this was to swing its tail accordingly, but……
「Whoa there! Did you forget about something, Your Majesty? This is also the real weapon! And frankly, you should be more afraid of this thing than you are afraid of anything else!」
No matter how tough, durable or fast the rest of the Golden Age’s body is, this is not going to be nearly enough for it to be able to close the distance and attack me or to back away to safety in time. So no matter what, my action was going to resolve faster! Of course, once I saw that this guy was determined to approach me while doing some crazy slalom dash I started making aerial jumps and dashes to keep my distance, so no matter what I was not going to let it negate that opportunity that I have worked so hard on creating. And then there was still the gap in between the two of us that my Trump Card called “Sigma” managed to create…… It was more than enough for my to close the distance and poke that monster with my flaming spear just at the right place with just the right amount of force.
「Now, Aradval Rebuild, it’s time to burn! Burn bright and burn strong! “Hypothetical Fourth Spear: Briunac”……!!」
After the effects of the aerial jumps is finally over, I landed on the back of the Golden Age once more , and before it was able to react in any way to my actions, I held the tip of the flame spear forward and aimed it the exact place where I wanted it to go. And it was all good that weapons like that can be operated with one arm, but still I was only able to aim it only a few meters in front of me.
I am going to get you this time around for sure! Here we go, “Holy Sword”!!!
「BURNING CALIBUR!!!」
A giant heat wave is being created from all the accumulated flames, and that heat wave then changes into a huge flame spear. Although the distance here was not all that great, the burning heat that greedily eats all of the air around it while it flies forward, eventually making a connection with that part of the Golden Age that was supporting the “Holy Sword” and holding it together onto the rest of the tail. And it was also the same place that was already filled with many cracks and dents caused by the previous powerful attacks, something that surely couldn’t be ignored no longer.
This enemy right in front of me might not actually be a Dragon, but it’s a powerful monster made out of material that is way harder than any stone! So! That! Is! Exactly! Why! There should be no reason for a weapon strong and sharp enough to easily pierce dragon scale to not be able to go through the Crystal hide of the Crystal Scorpion!
「This little thing right here is the Heroic Weapon! As the name might suggest, it’s been around for quite a while! And guess what!? Those years of accumulated experience make all the difference in the world!!」
Then a big explosion managed to fill my entire field of vision. And then right next after that my whole body was blown away, and at the same time I heard a loud and distinct banging sound. What I saw when I finally managed to regain my posture from that emergency five-point landing (also known as a five-point bang, just a side note here) that managed to shave off about sixty percent of my current HP bar, was the image of the “Holy Sword” being broken to pieces and tracking circles in the air as it plummeted down towards the ground, breaking through the clouds of smoke and heat left after the sudden detonation. And then it just got stuck in the ground just like that…… HYAHOIHOIHOIHOI!!!
「Oh my God! Who would have thought!? For Rare Items to start falling out of such a weird place!? Call me lucky!! I’ll be sure to accept them all without any reservations!」
But you god damned idiot!? Have you even given it a sliver of a thought!? Those are all lost items, for crying out loud! Just who do you think is going to deliver them all over to the Police Booth!? There might be soup kitchens and Bounty Hunters in this game, but where would you even find a Police Booth in here in the first place!?
Your Majesty the King, thank you oh so very much! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart! Oh, and by the way, to PROPERLY thank you for all that you have done for me and for all that I had to go through because of you…… I’ll be sure to peel off that crystal off of your body VERY THOROUGHLY!!!
