CHAPTER 215: SMALL REVENGE

“Millie-chan, how have you been? It’s good to see you.”

“Naoko-sama, welcome back. What brings you to the guild? Can I help you somehow?”

“Don’t act like a stranger. I came to see you. How’s Nino-san? Are things good between you. Actually if you guys have a child anytime soon I want to be the godmother, if not actual one than at least an honorary one.”

She immediately reverted to her shy and timid self. The beet red face made her look even cuter. Well, I don’t think anything will happen soon. But it is cute to tease her a bit.

“Naoko-sama, please stop teasing me. I will get angry.”

Seriously, how can she be this cute and at the same time act so fierce and stand up to the King like she did at the engagement party? It is truly a mystery to me. But seeing that she is well is reassuring.

“Actually, I want to meet the Guild Master, is he here? I have something to discuss with him. Also can you put up this request for me? I need someone to help me train Ronda and the rest of the kids. I’m worried because they are always going into the forest, and to have someone show them the workings of the guild.”

Actually I don’t need to put this request up for anyone, but this is all needed for my revenge plan. And I need to make sure those kids start coming to the guild from time to time, but that shouldn’t be hard.

“Sure, I will put it up right away. Guild Master is in the back. Just go on ahead, he is not with anyone at the moment.”

Good. I left Millie-chan and went into Guild Master’s Room to take my revenge. Seeing that he is there, the monster corpses must have been found and disposed of. When I entered I noticed a completely new floor in the room.

“Naoko-chan, you’re here. What brings you to see me? Don’t tell me that something happened.”

“It’s good to see you. Actually, I came here to chat for a bit. I met Chief at the Labyrinth town. He proved to be an excellent customer. I was able to sell the King Ape for a really good price. Here, this handmade figurine is my thank you gift.”

From the moment I first entered he remained extremely stiff and nervous. I had no idea what made him this way. It’s not like we’re strangers or enemies.

“Oh, it’s no big deal. I’m glad you made profit. Thank you for the gift. Is there anything that I can offer you, some tea maybe?”

“No, I’m good. There is something that I want to discuss. You see, on my travels I came across an interesting place. What I found interesting about that place is the story behind it. One day a man visited the land of the elves and rampaged around it so much they had to put a curse on him.”

I saw him frown, but there was not much reaction. I guess Nino-san and Millie-chan already told him that I knew about all of them being elves. But that was not the main point of the story. My counterattack was coming soon.

“Anyways to ensure he never steps on the land of elves, some were sent to oversee this man as well as look for other potential threats. On the way to the continent the ship those elves sailed on got in a huge storm. Now, elves are known to be sturdy and capable, but there was this incident of extreme sea-sickness. That person ended up looking completely ungraceful and pathetic and was given the nickname of Greenweed because of how bad his face was green and dried up.”

He turned pale as I kept on telling this story. I assume that he didn’t want others to know about his disgraceful past.

“Where did you hear that story?”

“Actually, this is not really a big deal, after all, it was making fun of a sick person. I do not like that.  What I really found interesting about that story is the fact upon reaching the continent that this same person saw a person with beautiful long blond hair that swayed in the wind, and boldly decided to approach this person and ask for directions. He used his seductive and charming voice to address this person while flirting at the same time only to realize that person was a man once he turned around.”

Bingo! I can see his soul leaving his body as I recounted the story I heard from Chief.

“Excuse me, I can’t help but stare at this beautiful sight. Can I ask you a question my lovely.”

“No! Please stop!”

“There is also something that I heard about the party that you were in a long time ago. Apparently your girlfriend at the time was in the same party and while trying to show off in front of her, you got caught by the Iron-armored Bear and she needed to save your ass, literally since the bear bit off your clothes and your backside was there for everyone to see.”

And he’s gone. But I am not done. I made sure to spend another half an hour telling him all the rumors and embarrassing stories that I found out. I could not harm him physically, but this story telling should have him leave devastated. Also the figurine that I gave him was enchanted so that whoever looks at it will suddenly remember a piece of their embarrassing past. It was especially effective if one looks at it just before going to sleep.

“Oh, Naoko-sama, you’re back? What did the Guild Master say?”

“Nothing much Millie-chan. Although I would advise to not let him work so much, he seems to be really exhausted if you ask me. Anyways, I will be off now. Once the wedding is here I will see you. In the meantime make sure you take care of yourself.”

“Have a safe journey. Ah, I wish I could come to Kapitalia and see you more often. Sadly, it is so far away. Naoko-sama, goodbye.”

I agree Millie-chan, if only there were transfer gates in this world like you could find in many games. Life would be so much easier.

I went to see Ronda and the gang to tell them to bother the Guild Master and only allow him to teach them how to hunt. I also told them to call him uncle Bunny-apple and to make sure I was the one to tell them to call him as such. This way he would be reminded of everything that I knew about him whenever he sees these kids.

This was the last hit. Apparently he only eats his apples by having them shaped as bunnies. This is something that I didn’t tell him in my stories, so he is still unaware that I know this small fact about him. When he thinks he is finally free of my influence, this will hit him out of nowhere.
