CHAPTER 142: DRAGON BRIDE

How did this happen? I cannot believe the words I just heard. This is definitely me hallucinating from all the pain and dizziness. Otherwise how could I have just heard the words Dragon Bride and Title in the same sentence? This is definitely not the outcome of a life and death match with a dragon that I just had. The moment I could feel that I was able to move I used all my leftover strength to push the dragon away.

“What the hell was that? I never agreed to become your bride. What did you do to me?”

“What are you saying, we just exchanged our vows. I should be the one that is surprised. For a human to know about our ancient and sacred ritual and also being able to endure it is unthinkable.”

What ancient ritual? What vow exchange? I never did anything like that. I just looked at him with a huge question mark on my face and waited so he can explain it further.

“By exchanging our powers and crossing our arms we exchanged vows to spend an eternity together. The stronger the attack the greater the love and respect, then to commemorate the union we merge our mana. Human bodies are weak and usually cannot even handle the smallest amount of mana needed to complete the ceremony, but you really are something else. The density and quality of your mana already surpasses that of some weaker dragons. For a human that is hard to achieve goal, no wonder you are able to withstand my mana.”

I couldn’t believe this, I attacked him with the intention to kill, but it was taken as a token of devotion. And the black mist that needed to curse him to death only made everything worse. I should have known it would turn out this way. Lately everything seemed too good to be true even the contribution I gained for the ogre village was so small it was almost insignificant. I was feeling relaxed and the world was able to slap me when I wasn’t paying attention.

“Oh great, things just went from bad to worse. Not only did I have to deal with my future fiancée, but now I also have a husband that I never agreed to marry and I still haven’t figured out what I can do now that I am the dungeon master. You come with me, we can’t stay here for much longer.”

I had a map showing a bunch of people approaching this place. I can’t be seen by anyone since I was supposed to be away on a request. Once they realize nobody is around here they should back away, besides I am pretty sure they heard the dragon roar earlier so they most likely will not barge in looking for trouble.

“My bride are you taking me to your chambers? I can assure you that I will be gentle with you, I have been told it is quite painful for females the first time.”

“Don’t you dare put a finger on me! You won’t be getting any from me at all. You scammed me into this so don’t you even think about doing anything more.”

I was beet red as I said that. I couldn’t believe he would imply things that directly. This body of mine will remain as pure as snow and clear as jade. I will not let anyone touch me ever again.

“But how do you expect to bear my children?”

“I don’t! Deal with it!”

I was frowning. This is so unfair, why does the world hate me so much to a point where it is making life so miserable. Dragging my feet and with head hung low I reached the fourth floor of the dungeon. It was empty with no monsters with only traps, which I left from before, being active. The layout remained almost the same. I crashed down on the portable couch and opened my status screen. I needed to inspect the new titles and skill that I gained.

My stats really did improve drastically, so much that I couldn’t imagine just how weak I was the first time I arrive in this world almost a year ago. I feel that I can finally say I am a cheat character just like the rest of the heroes. I began inspecting my new titles and upon reading their description I almost kissed the dragon that tricked me into marrying him.

This was a real jackpot. There were so many buffs that I gained where I can say that as long as I am inside a dungeon with Fulgur overpowering me will be almost impossible. If I add on the buff from the Calamity of Crown Colosseum I can really flex my strength all I want.

Now if my newly acquired groom behaves in the future I think I will be able to get along with him quite well. I showed a big smile and decided to try out the Catalogue function. After all I needed to secure my dungeon one way or another.
