Kazuki did his best to shake off the aftereffects to clear his head but for some reason, his mind felt fuzzy. Even when he used his ki to look over his body, he could find nothing wrong but still, something didn’t feel quite right.
“NOOOOOO!”
A scream echoed out in the distance.
One of the Azirian’s had managed to wrap a tentacle-like arm around Kimi and pulled her toward the ground.
Kim fired her laser to try and cut the arm but dozens more climbed up her leg and shielded the first arm that grabbed her. Arm after arm was blown away or melted but the first arm still gripped her tightly and pulled her to the ground.
Sam saw this and started fighting harder and harder but he still could not escape from the other Azirian and was still entwined with it.
Asuna was ready to teleport Kimi out of there but before she could, the Azirian severed dozens of its arms and legs and threw them all at once at Nunully and Asuna. The two quickly cut a path through these limbs and tore them to pieces but when they did that a rain of purplish-black blood rained down atop them. They managed to block some of it but a bit got on their skin and began to burn their skin.
Asuna endured the pain, while Nunully winced in pain and screamed out.
“KYAHHHHH!*
She lost concentration for a split second and her frozen wings wavered as well. It was at that exact moment that the Azirian balled up a large fist and expanded it several times and threw out a punch. Its fist had expanded to the size of a horse-drawn cart and because Nunully wavered, she was a sitting duck and couldn’t raise a shield of ice in time.
“Look out!”
Asuna grabbed Nunully and teleported safely to the ground but the Azirian expected this. Its fist exploded in mid-air and more purplish-black blood rained down on them on a much greater scale.
Like a water fountain, the two were completely drenched and their skin burned all over excruciatingly. This wasn’t the end. Kimi finally managed to form a barrier of light around her body and in the process sever the arms which held her but she was now surrounded on all sides by arms that wrapped around her barrier and squeezed.
Sam felt dread seep into his heart and he started fighting even more fiercely. He ripped apart arm after arm bounding him but the arms kept regenerating them as quickly as he tore them apart.
Kimi’s barrier of light was warping from the Azirian’s strength and Asuna and Nunully were now weekend and were forced to dodge attacks repeatedly. Each exchange left them with more and more wounds.
Kazuki could see all of this from miles away and he began tried to fly with fire but as soon as he tried, he felt no magic within him and his mind became even fuzzier.
(Wha is this? I can’t feel my Mana! Is it the trench that’s causing this?)
Kazuki looked behind him and the trench was only a hundred or so feet away. Kazuki could feel something ominous coming from within.
(Have to get away from that hole. Once I’m far enough my magic should work.)
Kazuki didn’t need to fly. With his physical capabilities, he could be at Asuna’s side in a few seconds.
Kazuki took a step forward and his vision suddenly blurred.
(This…)
He felt something move within his mind and following that, the purplish-black blood he had completely expunged began to multiply rapidly within his own blood.
(NO!)
Kazuki instantly circulated his ki and trapped all of the foul blood and forced it from his body once more. The nasty Azirian blood was purged from his body once more and sizzled as it fell atop the muddied snow.
(What is going on!?)
Kazuki once more searched his body but found nothing wrong or out of place. The first time it happened though it came from his mind, he knew that for sure. He searched his brain again and again but could find nothing.
(Am I wrong? Could I be?)
Kazuki went to take a step and his vision completely blanked and he started to collapse to the ground. Just before his mind blanked out, he once more circulated his ki. The Azirian blood had multiplied again and again he forced it from his body.
Kazuki felt an unknown terror from within.
(Every time I take a single step, the Azirian blood somehow multiplies itself from out of nowhere within me. I…I can’t move or that blood will appear again. What…What do I do?)
Kimi’s Barrier grew fainter and small cracks appeared all over her barrier. With one more squeeze from hundred of arms, it could hold no more and exploded.
*BOOM!*
The arms were blown back by the initial blast of her barrier but barely a second later, the arms formed dozens upon dozens of blade and raced toward her from all sides.
Kimi couldn’t help but scream.
“SAM!”
At this time a torrent of wind erupted from all around and the fleshy blades froze in mid-air. They all stopped at once before they changed direction and the blades along with the Azirian all flew up into the sky at once. Not just the Azirian attacking Kimi, Asuna, and Nunully, but the one entangling Sam also flew into the sky.
Everyone looked over at Etora in shock and awe. Etora threw his mouth open and inhaled deeply. The two Azirian’s and Sam flew through the air and we’re all racing toward his mouth. At the same time, Fera took this opportunity to deliver devastating blows to Etora’s open body.
*Bang Bam Bang!*
Etora could only block a few of them and inhale at the same time. In an exchange between two powerhouses though, these few seconds, the two exchanged hundreds, thousands of blows.
Etora struck Fera many times with his claws but the metallic stones making up her body were sturdy. Even when Etora destroyed a portion of her body, if he didn’t destroy her all at once, the places he destroyed would simply repair themselves automatically.
Etora though was in a difficult situation. His stood as solid as a mountain but the blows Fera inflicted were like mountains weighing a hundred times more than normal crashing into him.
The ground split and fissured like a spider web and the world quaked for hundreds of miles. Still, Etora refused to shut his mouth. He even aimed it at Fera but Fera simply swirled green magical energy around her and increased her own gravity by hundreds of times. Etora’s power to devour was great but it wouldn’t move Fera unless she wished to be moved.
Fera was raining down blow after blow atop Etora but she could tell this wouldn’t be enough to kill him.
(This damn body of his, how can a creature that’s not a Titan be this damn sturdy? At this rate, he’ll destroy my pawns and Kazuki will…I don’t sense Reya’s presence.)
Fera continued to deliver blow after blow but part of her attention turned to Kazuki in the distance. She could no longer see Reya and knew something had gone wrong. At the same time, her mind never ceased to think further ahead. Seeing Kazuki alone by himself, how could she let such an opportunity go.
Fera’s blows slowed slightly and she made her movements more noticeable. Etora saw her slowing and saw a free opening and took it.
His paw sped up and he delivered a terrifying slash with it. It was at this very moment that the metallic sheen and green swirling energy around her disappeared for a split second.
*Bang!*
Fera’s body was completely destroyed.
Etora was surprised by this but he knew she would most likely come back at any moment. He quickly took this small window and turned on the two Azirian’s flying toward him. He stopped inhaling and snatched Sam out of the air and into his mouth. At the same time, he stood high up on his hind legs and raised his paws more than 100 feet into the air before slamming them down like a meteoric hammer atop the two Azirian’s.
*Squelch*
His paws covered the two Azirian’s in their entirety and reduced them into meat paste in an instant, killing them on the spot.
He then spat Sam out who rolled out like a confused baby deer covered in wolf saliva.
Etora smiled before chuckling.
“And that’s how it’s done.”
Etora felt invincible at this moment but before he could gloat, Asuna screamed and pointed in the distance.
“ETORA SAVE HIM!”
Etora was snapped out of glee and turned his head to see Fera forming a new body near Kazuki. Etora didn’t hesitate and kicked off the ground. At the exact same time up in the sky, Brian shouted.
“GARN! NOW OR NEVER!”
Fera’s body formed almost instantly in front of Kazuki and at the same time, Etora’s feet pounded the ground as he flashed forward. Garn as well activated his palace and it teleported towards Kazuki. The two were late.
Fera towered above Kazuki, orbs of lightning in her eyes, she yelled.
“DIE BROTHER!”
