I rushed out of the room disregarding everything and ran towards Earl’s Mansion. I couldn’t believe those pigs. It was time to teach them a lesson starting with the King and the spineless prince since they would be easier to find. Once I am done with them I will go and make sure that man never sees the light of day.

The guard at the mansion tried to stop me, but it was useless. I didn’t even bother with using the main gate and directly teleported inside.

I ran from door to door entering each of the rooms looking for the father and son pair. This little rampage of mine lasted until I came across a very upset Earl Orzak still in his pajamas.

I didn’t bother saying goodbye and immediately ran outside. I was planning on catching up with them. After all I had space magic and they didn’t. Using [Blink] in succession I quickly got away from the town, but when I used [Blink] once more I found myself back in my room at the inn.

The frick just happened? I jumped out of the window and once again went into pursuit, but just like last time, after getting certain away from the town and using [Blink], I ended up in my room. Realizing that someone must have done something to me, I left again. When I came close to the spot where I last time returned to the room I decided to continue on foot to find out what exactly was keeping me from pursuing them.

As I went further away from the town I noticed something was pulling me back. It felt like stretching an elastic rope and the further I went the harder it was to resist and stretch the rope more. And sure enough at a certain point, I felt this force disappear and I was moved to my room.

I slumped on the floor helpless. Not only was I used yesterday to be a bribe for some useless land, but I also became bound to Orzak and currently had no way to escape even if I wanted to. I looked desperately at my room that suddenly felt like a prison to me and noticed a small package on my desk. There was a note attached to it as well. I knew immediately who left this here.

“If that note says anything like ‘I’m sorry’ or ‘this is for your own good’ I will not only make sure that he doesn’t see another day, but I will also ensure his soul never sleeps peacefully.”

Even though I was angry for what he did to me, I didn’t destroy the package and the note. I was even a bit excited to see what he left. Seriously, I should get a better hold of my feelings, but who knows maybe he will explain why he did what he did.

I didn’t believe what I was seeing about this item. With this I basically have a free pass to get away from this s*itty situation I was in. I can cancel the magic, the engagement or do pretty much anything I want. It seems I was wrong about him and he is actually a decent person. I shouldn’t have called him a pig and thought all those bad things about him.

I touched the stone and immediately upon contact it shone brilliantly blinding me. The light lasted for several seconds before dying down. When I could see again I noticed that the stone was gone.
