CHAPTER 132: GOBLIN LAIR INN

“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for gathering here for me in such a large number. I am here to announce that the first phase of your training has been successfully completed. Congratulations!”

I looked at the twenty four people standing in front of me looking confused at my antics. There was no applause or cheering, only silence and a few strange looks.

“Anyhow… today I have mentioned a special event. Actually this is something that I have been preparing for ever since you have arrived at Orzak. Today, all of us are moving!”
Another round of silence. This is so unfair! Why isn’t anyone sharing my enthusiasm?

“Come on guys, show some reaction. I built a whole house just so we can all fit there and not worry about paying rent at the inn. There is even a special area for training. Do you have any idea how hard I worked for this?”

“Sensei, if you are talking about Goblin Lair’s Inn we already know about it.”

GEK!

“You sent us to hunt in that area several times already.”

“And you only lazed around after cutting the trees with magic while Byakko and Yoru did all the heavy work like moving the logs.”

OUCH!

“But I made it, didn’t I? Come on, let’s move. Pack your things and meet me at the gate in an hour.”
I couldn’t believe them, how can they lack so much enthusiasm? I wanted this to be a special event for all of them, now it is spoiled. I started walking towards the guild to ask for permission to use the special red card again. Since it was late in the morning I wasn’t expecting much of a crowd at the guild so the noise really caught me off guard when I entered.

“It must be true. I don’t think they would be lying.”

“But for it to be in that area is already messy enough, I don’t think this is a good thing.”

“I heard Banbo-san already left this morning.”

Everyone was rushing around the guild. I had no idea what was happening so I went over to Millie-chan who seemed to be on the verge of breakdown from all the mess in the guild.

“What is this rush Millie-chan, you look like a mess. Is everything good?”

“Naoko-sama, you really haven’t heard? There was a new dungeon created and everyone is curious. I haven’t stopped since this morning. This is simply too much for me. Apparently it is located in the Icefire Mountains. There is still no clear data on where exactly it is, but many adventurers are heading in search of it. Oh, dungeons are special places where monsters are created constantly they…”

“I know what dungeons are; I already had some contact with them. Can you tell me if the Guild Master is here? I need to ask for Byakko to be my delivery cat.”

“Just use your current one, it is still valid for a month or so. One it expires you can ask for another one.”
I completely forgot about that. Since I had nothing to do I left Millie-chan with a cup of calming hot chocolate and left the guild. I thought about what my mystery man said about not needing the dungeon seed. I guess he was able to get a naturally formed dungeon so he gave me to an artificial one. Honestly connecting the dots was not hard, he must have known that a dungeon was there or was about to be created there so he made sure to get the land that he wanted.

But all of this was second priority to me. Right now I had a job to do, and in order to create the best raid team in existence I had to focus. As of right now none of my students were showing dissatisfaction towards my teachings. Thanks to that I can proceed with the next phase of training with no worries. The first phase was focused on more or less general knowledge, while the second phase will begin their specialization.

Since they would be working in a bigger groups now, it will be more convenient to start assigning them roles. A healer won’t do DPS just as the scout wouldn’t control aggro. I was running several different simulations as to how to best proceed with teaching.

I arrived at our meeting point and everyone was already there ready to set off. Throughout this short journey there was a constant argument about who gets the best room. It would seem that not only did they know about the inn, they also knew its entire layout. Well I will let them bicker for a while; tomorrow the truly exhausting training is starting.

Another good thing about moving to my new inn is that I will be able to expand the size of my dungeon with ease now that I was so close to it. It will also allow me to keep it safe and strong enough so that it doesn’t collapse from all the fighting that will occur there at least until I use the [Dungeon Seed].

“Okay, listen up everyone. Tomorrow all of you are starting your second phase of training. So far I have only taught you some basics. First, I will make new parties for you to hunt in, this time consisting of six members. That means that all of you will need to show a higher degree of cooperation if you want to be successful. And it will be my job to teach you how to accomplish that.”

“Sensei, we already know what roles are; healer, damage dealer, tank. You just need to stand in your position and fight.”

“Oh, you poor naïve creatures. From now on I will show you a much larger world of raiding. I didn’t have you memorize different tactics for nothing.”

I then proceeded to give each member their new schedules. I saw all their faces turn black upon reading it.

“Sensei what do words aggro, kite, field monitor and other means? I have been in many party hunts before, but I never once heard these words.”

“Simeon, it is what made people good, back from where I come from. Those that know how to apply such actions well are those that are able to come on top. By the time I am finished with you all of you will be considered top players and the rest will only be seen as amateurs compared to you.”

Time to send these kids onto the world stage.
