I pulled on the man’s sleeve and asked him to agree, or else he’d seem like he’d remain silent indefinitely. Edi procrastinated for a moment and then unwillingly gave a short nod. The medium―I mean Snow-sama gestured at me with his hand to come closer, I bent down and brought my ear closer to him. He put both his hands around my ear and the young boy whispered into my ears with his little voice.
｢A great boon shall be upon you in the near future. It is an oracle from my friend.｣
The young boy laughed while holding his breath. Before I could ask what he meant, he ran and turned away from me.
｢Let us meet again someday!｣ and on saying that, he ran away. I looked at the young boy Snow as he left, I couldn’t do anything apart from looking at him all stunned. What did he mean by a great boon? Hmmm? All I could do was tilt my head wondering what he meant and the man looked down at me with a displeased look.
｢What were you told?｣
｢Well..you see…even I don’t really……｣
What to say, it’s like even I don’t really understand it. The man tilted his head suspiciously when he saw me with a question mark on my head with a confused expression. We kept looking at each other for a while and tilted our heads together trying to understand.

Clementine saw off Filmina and Agedilus, who had left the room and drank the tisane held in her hands slowly, till the last sip. She put the empty cup on the side table and after all that, she looked up at the youth Heinrich. Heinrich was smiling gently at the princess and she was staring at his face making sure that she had the usual expression. Heinrich looked no different from his usual self. How dare he look so calm after stealing the lip of someone none other than her, thought Clementine. Her thoughts probably reached Heinrich or something, he lowered his eyebrows with a troubled expression.
｢Princess, how is your health?｣
It’s too late to ask that question. The answer is right before your eyes Clementine thought, you can see me with my torso lifted up on the bed, the current situation is the answer to your question. Thanks to the analeptic tisane that Agedilus made, the body is warm till the core and thanks to Filmina’s gaze full of care, my heart is warm till the core too. If I had to be further greedy then, I’d like to enjoy the taste of the herb tea and the sweets made by Filmina as soon as possible. But, my body hasn’t recovered that much so I can’t be selfish about it.
Clementine was feeling uncomfortable since Heinrich was looking at her with sympathy and it was something so unlikely of him. Clementine had thought that if it was this man then he’d say something sarcastic like, ｢Albeit being the first heir to the royal throne, you did something utterly imprudent without any regards for your status.｣ She didn’t know what to say to him after being gazed at with such kindness. It is such a weird thing since the princess and Heinrich had been together for so long. She suppressed her confusion and smiled at him calmly trying to act as her usual self.
｢There isn’t anything to be worried about. It’s all thanks to you. So,I wouldn’t say anything like lese majesty or punish you for the way you made me drink the medicine so there is no need to worry about that. I was saved and I understand that there was no other way than to do it like that.｣
Clementine said it like it was nothing, but even though she didn’t expect him to choose such a method, she didn’t expect a kiss from him. It wasn’t just the method but it was a surprise that this man out of everyone would choose a method like that. In the fading consciousness, the sensation that was on her lips till the end, that soft sensation. That warmth. The light dwelling in the eyes of different colour, the light in light green and opal coloured eyes that were bright enough to make things burn. The princess held her hand with her other hand back which was trying to touch the lip as a reflex, she held it back and smiled at him as if to show that nothing had changed. That’s right. It was just a mouth-to-mouth feeding, it isn’t a big deal. Even though they have been stolen once, there has been no change in the value they hold. Nothing has changed. Till now and from now on too. This time’s ‘match making’ ended in failure but it doesn’t mean that I’d be able to remain free forever. No matter what, this man will arrange a ‘next time’ for me. Since that is this man’s job. The moment this man took the drug in his mouth to make me drink it, the drug might’ve left some kind of effect on his brain. Am I going to take responsibility for him now? I thought of such a thing that was at best a bad joke no one would laugh at. While she was thinking that, Heinrich knelt before Clementine and took her hand which was placed on the bed. His straight posture was like someone from the story book. Clementine suddenly remembered. She remembered the time they had just met and the only time she heard 『Heinrich Jado Roberts’』inner desire. He wanted to be a knight. A knight that is depicted in the story book. He dreamt to be a knight that protects the princess. This man for sure, told her about it once. It might be because he told her to forget about it, she had forgotten about it till now. But, Heinrich looks just like his dream self. Clementine lost her words at the sight of a knight-like appearance of Heinrich that he always wished to be but was unable to be.
｢If I had just thought of it as a marriage that your heart didn’t desire, then I wouldn’t be able to notice this feeling that I have, it would’ve remained hidden for the rest of my life. But, I was made to notice that there was a part of me that couldn’t allow your heart to be stolen by someone other than me. It seems like I don’t have any right to criticize Filmina-dono anymore.｣
―What is this man saying? Clementine thought.
The light green left eye that he was born with and the opal coloured right eye that the princess gave him were burning with scorching heat as he spoke and Clementine couldn’t comprehend what was being said, it was beyond her comprehension. Clementine could just look back at his eyes all startled, and to that, Heinrich responded with a deep provocative smile that was totally different from his usual calm smile.
｢Princess. No, Clementine-sama. Will you please start love with me? ｣
｢……..Wha?｣
