Around the time the sun started to rise, I left the inn to take a walk through the city streets.
Barely anyone was around since it was pretty early in the morning.

There was also some machinery of unknown purpose.

Daisy said, spreading her hands while sitting atop of a round chair in the middle of the room.
「Yeah, I’ll take you up on that offer. But well, what can I say, no matter where you end up, you manage to set up a laboratory-like room.」
I recall how during the war with the Demon Lord she also would use abandoned buildings to set up similar work rooms.
「Yup. This arrangement is the easiest for me to work in. Creating a proper environment first is my approach. ……Is it uncomfortable?」

And then he bowed.
「Same here, I enjoyed that delicious restaurant where you took us.」
「No no. Sorry for being able to repay you only with that much of my time. ……Yesterday, I met with the head of Magic Science guild, Moka-san, and she was insisting that she wants to thank you personally. So I’ll be asking for another dinner with you.」
「At that time I’ll accompany you. ……So, what did the captain and your companions come here for? You seem to have brought a few with you.」

Being told so by Daisy, the knight and the woman in white pulled out bundles of papers from pockets and put them on the table.

「Letters of order are meant for ordering goods, right? They are relaying them to you instead of some shop?」

「Well, that’s because it’s quite far from here, my friend. If you keep running back and forth for the messages, then for items delivery, won’t it be a waste of time? So I suggested that if it’s something that can be easily manufactured or an important material that I can make, then it would be more effective if they came to me.」
Sidonius wryly smiled.

The eyes of the woman in white turned wet with tears upon hearing those words.
「Thank you… Since you started your work after putting a laboratory here, the poison analysis speed increased by about 50 percent. You really saved us from an absolutely hopeless situation. And are also doing everything so fast, even building your own lab.」
