Translator: DarkHeartedAlchemist

「Yes. Usually, no matter how stronger the monster was, as long as it was the one contained within the boundaries of the Greek mythology, they would never come near the east side of the ruins.」

「Were there any exceptions to that rule?」

「No, there was no exceptions.」

「Hmm. . . 」

Izayoi seemed to be deep in though as he was thinking about something. After a moment. . .

「Judging from your words, is your village located on the east side?」

Those were the words he considered saying, but seeing how they were reluctant to share anything about the location of their home, further prying about it in such a state of emergency would not do them any good, especially since it was quite probable that this monster was purposefully brought here because of the 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority. So instead. . .

「So, what are you going to do about this guy? If you want to give destroying it a shot, then go ahead, I will not stop you.」

「Wha. . .  d-do not be absurd! If we tried to do that and only ended up enraging that thing, this whole area would have been reduced to rubble in a matter of minutes!」

「Whatever you wanted to do, do not do it. Just leave that thing alone. When we are not provoking it, it stays harmless most of the time, and we want it to stay that way, you understand?!」

The cow head masked warriors rushed in to stop Izayoi, pleading with him to not do anything reckless. After a short observation, he concluded that those guys were essentially right: even though that Giant was indeed sucking up the earth with the obvious intention of making itself bigger, for the time being it was not doing anything that could be classified as hostile. All it was doing was blocking the sunlight with its massive body, and apparently that was not nearly enough to convince those guys that it would have been better if that thing was exterminated. As far as they were concerned, as long as it was not doing any real damage to the area they were apparently inhabiting, then concluded that it would be best to leave it to its own devices.

「I understand your concerns. . .  but I am sorry to inform you that I feel like playing with it for a bit.」

「Playing with it for a bit?! Oi, did you not hear the word we said, you idiot?! This monster is really dangerous! The only one who could have possibly hoped to have a fighting chance against that thing would be Lord Heracles who came here because of the 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority! If it was not for him, we would have been. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . !!!」

But Izayoi did not register what those guys were saying right that instant, because he was too busy looking up into the sky, measuring the strength of his soon to be opponent and thinking of the best possible ways of how he could approach this fight. Since he already was lucky enough to have such a big toy appear before him, he thought that it would be a great shame if he could not rampage properly for at least a bit while going up against it. . .  but regrettably, the albino girl who was still on his back acted as a natural restraint for him. If it was not for her, then he could have gone all out without a care in the world, but sadly it looked like today it was not meant to be.

As his eyes were filling with regret over how he will not be able to have a proper fight even though the opportunity was right there for the taking, only then did his brain properly registered what the people in the cow head masks were saying, making him tilt his head in wonder.

「. . . . . . . . . . . . . huh? Hey, you there! What did you say just now?」

「Wha. . . . did you not hear me?! I said that this creature is really dangerous, but it will not attack us if we simply leave it alone, so. . . 」

「No, not the boring part! You said that who came to this continent because of the 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority?!」

When Izayoi started nagging them about the identity of the one who could have supposedly easily dealt with that strange titan, all of the masked warriors looked at one another with confused expressions. It was clear that they must have been seriously worried why would Izayoi be more concerned with something like that over the situation they were currently in.

「L-Lord Heracles. We said that Lord Heracles came here.」

Izayoi was just about to open his mouth to comment on it, but Pritt had him beaten to the punch, openly displaying her own disbelief:

「Heracles?! As in THE Heracles?! The mightiest hero in the entire Greek mythology?! Someone like him is coming HERE?!」

「Y-Yes, according to what we heard, that seems to be the case. Supposedly he will do so because that is his duty both as one of the Organizers of the 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority as well as a Player participating in it.」

「Oooooooohhh, now there is some nice, juicy information! But you know, something is telling me that you probably should not have said that~~.」

「. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .!!!!!!」

「You idiot! You and that big mouth of yours! Why?! Why did you have to say so much?!!!」

The cow head mask guys hurriedly covered their own mouths while their eyes were filling with terror. Only now they have realized that Izayoi was a Player participating in the 2nd War for the Sun’s Authority as well, and what they said was definitely related to the mystery of the Lost Continent that the Players had to solve I order to clear the victory conditions of the Gift Game that was to soon begin in Atlantis. And that would mean that these guys must have been the locals who were entrusted with the role of being the guides in the upcoming event, which made them privy to certain knowledge. Knowledge that they have now allowed to slip out, if only due to the series of unfortunate – for them at least – events that took place one after another by sheer coincidence.

Izayoi did the only thing that could have been done in this situation: he began to laugh, amazed at how it all turned out.

「Hahahahahahahahahahaha . . .  seriously, I can’t even with this. . . ! I do not know if this is fate, will of the gods, an extreme turnoff or all of that mashed together bit by bit, but having Heracles as one of the Organizers of this whole thing and  using him in a Gift Game with Greek setup was a smart, if an extremely ironic move. Is he not one of the most famous heroes of all time, and the most powerful of those who have a direct connection to the Zodiac signs?」

Heracles: the strongest, mightiest hero of the Greek mythology who challenged and completed the {Ten Commandments Test} Gift Game which is more commonly known in the Outer World as {The Twelve Labours of Heracles}, an achievement for which he has been elevated in status from a simple demigod to a genuine Divine Spirit. Nowadays, various studies across multiple cultures and civilizations have been conducted over each and every trial in the Twelve Labours, popularizing it to such a degree that practically everyone in Little Garden knew about them and the Gift Game itself and its variations have been conducted almost every day, including its battle royale and time attack versions, but the original ordeal that Heracles had to go through was supposed to have such a super dreadnaught-high difficulty level that it was rumored that only a Demon Lord could ever hope to successfully accomplish it.

Usually Gift Games were supposed to test those who would engage in them in three different things: battle prowess, wisdom and courage, but the {Ten Commandments Test} was the one rigged specifically towards battle prowess, since it involved challenging and defeating of the various types of powerful monsters like Giants and Pure-blooded Dragons and the like. . .

「But for a warrior of such renown as Heracles to be coming as an Organizer. . . was he really fine with that? Was he not one of the surefire candidates for achieving victory in the War?」

「Right?! I was also looking forward to seeing him compete, but now you’re telling me he will be taking part not as a Player, but an Organizer?! What a waste!」

「That is our line! In the first place, what are you even doing here?! As far as we know, the Players should not be arriving on the continent just yet?!」

「That is quite a long story, so let us save the explanations for later. I have my Player invitation, but more importantly, we have a seriously ill person with us here. I know it might be unreasonable of us to ask this, but is there any place where we could lie her down safely?」
