Uzermart laughed. It wasn’t, as one might have expected, a laughter of a madman who has completely lost it, but a pure laughter from the bottom of his heart.
「The nuclear flame of Atom! If you think you can stop it, then by all means, try and stop it!」
He transferred his magical power into the flame that was able to eradicate mountains.
It cannot be prevented. No one will stop it! Because that is the might of the most powerful god in the entire world! A primal flame that melts the whole creation until there’s nothing left!
「Aur, do you really think I can pull it off?」
Yunis asked Aur with a mischievous smile.
Truth is, Aur knows that she can do it. He is not a man who would place his trust into the uncertain.
Yunis understood that, but she still wanted him to say it.
「Let’s see. Hmm….」
The words that she wants to hear from him…
「You can definitely do it. You are a girl that I fell in love with after all.」
The best compliment that a husband can give to his wife.
「W-why are you telling me something like this with such a straight face?」

Aur screamed at Yunis who puts pressure on the sword blocking the fireball from advancing. The technique she used earlier was not quite done yet, but if she fails to do it perfectly, everyone present here will be burned to death.
「No sense in holding back now, Yunis! Do it!」
「Right!」
Yunis nodded and swung down her sword.
「I am the ruler above rulers! I will not perish here!」
Yunis’ sword cuts the fireball in two and reaches Uzermart…
「Yunis, dodge, that’s a decoy!」
When Aur cried out, a flash of light shaped like a spear made its way towards Yunis faster than any arrow in the world. Just before it could pierce her breast, she was pushed away and rolled on the ground.
Instead, Zana took it for her and pressed her hands against her chest.
「You piece of sh*t!」
Yunis quickly got up and swung her sword towards Uzermart’s neck.
But as she was on the verge of decapitating him… her arms were frozen by ice.
「You managed to do it on time. Well done, well done indeed.」
And not just her arms. Her whole body was trapped in ice and she was unable to move.
「Ice queen, capture the Demon Lord as well, but don’t kill him yet.」
Heeding his order, Zana, who lost the light of will from her eyes encased Aur in ice as well.
「Was that… your aim this whole time?」
Unable to even move a finger, Aur muttered with great difficulty.
「Even if it was, it’s already too late for you to do anything. This only goes to show that the Wand of Control in indeed the strongest power in the entire world, and I am its champion!」
Uzermart laughed as he raised his cane.

Angered, Uzermart approached Aur with a strange look.
「Keep being so careless with your words and you just might die.」

Uzermart’s eyes shook as le looked down at the icy spear protruding from his chest.
At the tip it was dripping with blood. His blood.
Zana stood behind him, and the spear was protruding from her hand.
「Im… possible… why…?」
He grabbed the spear with both his hands and tried to pull it out, but was unable to do anything.
And he died just like that, without even understanding what was happening.
「Most impressive, Zana. Or should I say, Goddess of the Moon, Marina?」
「So you’ve noticed?」
Zana answered in a completely different tone of voice. This was not her usual voice, but the one she spoke with when she was receiving a revelation… or when she was lending her body to the Moon Goddess Marina.
「Yes, but I don’t think that Uzermart noticed you at all.」

He asked Marina when he picked up the Wand of Control.
「Yes.」
But there was a slight problem. If you destroy the Wand with the captured soul still inside, that soul will probably die. And that would mean Zana’s death.
