When the flickering spark ignites into a blazing flame, that would be the time when the Sin of Wrath would return in its glory.

Farewell. Ma. Farewell, Jasmine.

-BAAM-

The door was slammed open.

A man entered the house. He held a knife in his hand which was smeared with blood. His eyes radiated immense spirit and determination.

Moving his eyes all around the house, his gaze locked on Percy and then on the corpse of his mother in his hand.

It was then Percy felt.

The gaze that was filled with determination, the eyes that were radiating immense spirit, turned dim. They had lost their splendor and vigour. The broad shoulders which seemed as it could carry immense burden, sloped down.

The body which could withstand deadly attacks, started trembling.

“Jasmine, No. Jasmine. JASMINE!.”

The man shouted with every ounce of his energy in his body.

He ran with all his might and screaming her name held her hands and cried.

Percy who was shoved to a side witnessed everything, he had once again lost control of his body. But strangely he didn’t struggle to gain control. He observed as the man cried.

This man was Percy’s father and the husband of the now dead Jasmine, Percy’s mother.

In his life, Percy had hardly seen his father. Most of the time he was away for missions or training.

Infact, the only time he was able to meet his dad was when he took him for training and the other was when sometimes he would stay for dinner.

It wasn’t that he hated his dad but instead his dad was his role model.

Before the birth of Percy, his mother would accompany his father on the missions frequently, but after his birth she stopped and instead tended to Percy. She doted Percy and showered him with every ounce of love she could muster.

She would tell him stories of her mission with his father, Percy would listen to it attentively. Before long he wanted to be just like his father.

It wasn’t that his father had power, talent and strength greater than all, rather he was normal in every aspect. The only abnormal aspect of his father was his immense spirit and determination or so to sum it up in simple terms, his will.

Percy, who was pushed aside by his father, watched a man who had lost his love.

He watched. A man who could fulfill no matter how difficult a mission he was given.

He watched. A man who was now crying and screaming.

A man who had risked himself for others.

It was now that he understood.

His father had returned everytime from the difficult battles.

Love.

Yes, his father loved her too deeply. It was his love which empowered his will. Just to watch her smile once again, just so he could hold her in his arms, just so he could hear her laugh and talk.

It was for such simple reasons that he always returned.

This was the source of his happiness and strength.

Suddenly, a man dressed in black clothes carrying a rifle with a silencer attached and a knife in his had stealthily entered the house.

Percy’s father failed to even notice the presence of the man, and even if he did, he wouldn’t have done anything.

After witnessing the dead Jasmine, his body had been drained of all strength and spirit.

The man approached Percy’s father and —

-Slash-

He slashed his neck with the military knife.

“Cheh, so much for the man known as the Unkillable.” Saying so the man turned towards Percy.

He smiled cunningly and lifted Percy by his hair.

“Punk, you will fetch me some nice money in the black market.”

Just as he was about to tie Percy, he regained the control of his body.

Percy was taught his family martial arts, which focused more on close combat with minimal but lethal moves by his father.

The moment Percy regained control of his body, he kicked the man in his groins as he knew with the amount of force his body could muster he would not be able to shake the man in front of him.

“You bast–” The man fell down on his feet and arms, clutching his groin.

Before the man could continue, Percy smashed the back of the now fallen man with his legs with all his might.

The man slammed hard on the wooden floor and felt dizzy.

Using this opportunity Percy moved towards the table and picked up the lamp slamming it hard on the man’s head.

The man blacked out.

Percy dragged his now sore body towards his dead family.

He had watched his mother die and his father lose his spirit and the reason for his life.

He felt an intense emotion, overwhelming his mind. His thoughts were clouded and all he wanted was to watch the people who murdered his family die a horrible death.

The spark flickering in his heart, somehow was turning into a small flame.

His eyes turned red and an ominous aura started to fill the surroundings. Black gaseous flames started to emerge from his body.

His small frame, covered by black flames and red eyes made him seem like a demon from the abyss.

At the same time, another person clad in the same black clothes entered the room.

He seemed cautious and was raising the gun moving slowly.

Seeing the current form of Percy, he was scared and immediately fired at him.

-Bang-

-Bang-

-Bang-

-Bang-

He fired four bullets, hurling towards Percy at breakneck speed.

But as soon as they touched the black flame, the bullets turned into nothingness.

Percy’s body was jolted from the impact.

The man was terrified and he kept firing the bullets.

Percy whose body was taken over by an unknown force, ran like a crazy demon in a zig-zag manner towards the man.

His small fist punched the man in the face.

-AHHHH-

-Pssh-

White steam along with a terrifying scream reverberated in the surroundings as the face of the man was now charred black. His eyes popped like a balloon, his nose turned flat and all his facial hair turned dust.

But Percy’s body didn’t stop here. It kept punching the man’s face.

Soon all that was left of his face was the brain matter.

The black flames started to subside and Percy regained control of his consciousness.

It was then.

-BOOM-

A grenade burst in the near proximity of the house.

Percy’s body was thrown like a rag at a distance.

Due to the remnant black flames his body wasn’t harmed to that extent, but his ears were ringing and he felt dizzy.

After a few moments when everything cleared, he witnessed.

He witnessed the dead bodies of the people. He saw how these men dressed in black dragging some of the women and children whose faces were filled with horror and despair. He observed as some of these people were still ruthlessly killing others while laughing and smiling.

It was total hell. Humans killing humans, the darkness of the world.

Something clicked in his mind, it was a fragment from his dream.

He had watched the scene before too, but the only difference this time was that he could feel an intense rage in his heart.

Before he could think any further, something happened.

His house was blown into smithereens by a rocket. The man who pulled the trigger of the hand held launcher, laughed after this.

-BOOM-

The next thing he knew was a grenade had landed in front of him and with a boom, his body was blasted into pieces.

Somehow he was able to witness his body being torn apart from the force of the explosion and then he blacked out.

-Haaah-

The original body which was still stationary in the darkness, breathed a mouthful of air.

Percy regained his consciousness, when all the things that happened in reality came flooding in.

He immediately understood the difference between reality and the dream, yet everything felt too real.

The warmth from his mother, the dampened spirit of his father and the horrifying scene in the end.

The intense rage in his heart had yet to cool down, his blood was boiling as he forgot the Eternal Darkness.

Strangely it was at this moment he remembered something being said by the Human figure.

[Being a mortal does not mean you are weak. Every mortal is judged by their Sin and rewarded by their Virtue. Even the Divine beings, who called themselves Supreme and thought themselves as above all feared the mortals for their Sins and loathed them for their Virtues. The Universe is the mother of all beings and holder of Supreme power. A mortal is the favoured child of the Universe. A mortal carries immense power and potential to rule above all and destroy everything in its path, if so it willed.]

His mind jerked.

Percy immediately activated the technique from the mysterious manual and as if a dam had been opened, immense energy flooded his body from the outside.

What was different this time was that Percy was trying to control the energy which gave off a blackish purple hue.
