Tch!

Khuraymah had his gaze fixed on Excalibur, for some reason he felt a dangerous vibe from the weapon.

“Uncle James, for now let’s retreat.” Kevin said.

James held Jason as he nodded.

It was at this moment a sudden sense of terror gripped their hearts.

Unknown to the trio, a tall and majestic spear had appeared in the hands of Khuraymah.

The spear of Judgement, the holy weapon of the Archangel Gabriel.

Pointing this spear towards the group, Khuraymah spoke.

“You shall be judged for your blasphemy. Prepare to receive Judgement.”

-Zuum-

An unknown amount of energy started to gather at the tip of the spear.

“Kevin, hold the vice-captain!” James shouted, handing Jason to Kevin.

[The Pride that Resides within me.]

Chanting an incantation, he equipped the shield on the back of his combat suit.

A thin energy shield covered in a golden hue appeared in front of him.

It was at this time, the spear finished gathering energy. A thin beam of yellow light shot towards the sins.

-Puu-

Along with a low frequency sound, a hole appeared in the shield. After piercing the shield, the beam lost the majority of its power yet it continued towards James.

Thankfully, due to the shield, the trajectory of the attack was diverted. It swished past James grazing his waist, from which fresh blood seeped out, and landed on the distant wall, cracking and destroying it in the process.

“Uncle James!” Kevin shouted, but alas there was nothing the sins could do.

Kevin was just about to use Excalibur as the last alternative when James turned his head and spoke.

“Stop right there Kevin, we still need to guard our back while retreating.”

Kevin’s face turned sour, the regret he felt right now was at the extreme. This was the matter of the League and he had dragged them in this situation.

On the other hand, Azrael was nowhere to be seen and the wounds on Khuraymah’s body had opened once again.

The hand which held the spear was trembling a bit. Even then his back seemed to be ramrod straight, as if he was not bothered by this level of injury.

Suddenly.

The book of Revelation manifested in front of him and unfurled the pages rapidly.

A smaller rune fell from one of the pages on the ground and a dome of yellow light was created.

Khuraymah too shifted his gaze from the sins to the sky above, a displeased expression on his face.

Just as the dome was formed a sky blue colored beam thick as one’s thigh fell from above landing on the dome.

The dome rippled and seemed on the verge of breaking, but ultimately it held out. Once the beam vanished, the dome disappeared into the rune and returned back to the book. The book closed shut and dimmed a lot.

-Swish-

-Swish-

Something was rapidly falling towards the ground at a great speed. As the object arrived closer one could infer their outline. There were two human shaped objects covered in black material.

-Bang-

With a banging sound one of the figures rapidly separated from the other with a blue flaming tail, approaching Khuraymah and the other moved towards Noor and Khustar.

With a flash the figure was in front of Khuraymah, there was an additional katana tainted in pure darkness.

-Slash-

Arriving in front of Khuraymah, the figure slashed horizontally with an unprecedented stability.

Khuraymah was also caught off guard, by the time he could react, the figure was already in front of him slashing.

He could hear the wind being torn apart which brushed past his body creating scratches. At this moment, he hurriedly moved the spear in order to parry the attack, but once again something unexpected happened.

The blade seemingly passed through the spear and landed squarely on his body, stabbing deep into his body.

A deep pain surged through his body, yet he ignored the pain and stabbed the spear towards the figure in front of him from the top.

Just as the tip was about to connect, the figure moved towards the right of him and dodged the attack. The spear moved horizontally in order to catch the figure off guard, but as if the figure had already expected such an attack, it ducked and swept its legs in an attempt to disrupt the balance.

The legs connected but unfortunately he did not budge even a bit.

By this time, the spear tip was just above the figure’s head.

Hurriedly grabbing the hilt of the katana which was still embedded in his flesh, the figure tried to parry the attack.

The spear and the katana connected.

-BOOM-

A crater was formed below them. The figure’s legs were rooted into the crater.

Just as he was about to continue the attack, the spear vanished and he puked blood.

The figure took this chance and hurriedly fled from the attack range.

On the other hand, Khustar and Noor were fighting the other figure.

For some reason, they were not able to control their attacks and were missing by a huge margin.

Just as the fight between Khuraymah and the figure was finished, it rapidly moved towards the sins.

“How come you are here, Sophie?” Kevin asked in a surprised tone.

After all Lucifer was not aware about the location nor they had asked for help.

“Let’s talk after we reach a safe distance.” Sophie spoke stealing glances towards the other figure and Khuraymah.

Kevin understood and hurried her to support James, who was drained of all his energy and panting on the ground.

“Is that Diane?” Kevin asked as he gazed towards the figure with a katana.

“Yes!” Sophie answered.

“Wow, she has become more powerful. Thankfully you both arrived in time or we were done for.” Kevin said, trying to move his body.

Sophie nodded and continued.

“What’s with that old man?” She pointed towards Khuraymah and asked.

Meanwhile the buffed Khuraymah was somehow losing his powers and his figure was turning back to his old self.

Khustar and Noor hurriedly approached him.

-Thud-

With a thud he fell on the ground.

It was at this time, Azrael appeared once again.

She gazed at Diane, who was holding her black katana full of fighting spirit and then towards Noor and Khustar.

“Take him back, his injuries are too heavy.” She said to them.

Both of them nodded and started moving inside with Khuraymah in tow.

At this time, Diane once again moved.

With a flash she once again disappeared from everyone’s eyes and appeared in front of Noor and Khustar.

Holding the hilt of the katana with both hands she slashed vertically, aiming Khuraymah.

-Ting-

The response she was expecting from the piercing the flesh did not happen, instead her katana was blocked by the backside of a scythe.

“Not so fast lady.” It was Azrael who had blocked her attack. She looked back towards Noor and Khushtar, urging them to leave.

But Diane was bent on having them stay.

She held her katana and stabbed towards Azrael.

Azrael turned around to dodge, but suddenly the tip of the katana vanished.

Almost half of the blade had vanished and it appeared before Khuraymah mysteriously catching the trio off guard.

The blade easily pierced the chest of the old man, just as it was about to enter deeper and penetrate his heart, Diane frowned and pulled it back.

She rapidly moved backwards while at the same time parrying the black scythe at various angles using her katana.

The surroundings were filled with ringing sounds of the weapons colliding.

Parrying another attack, Diane took out the black cubes and tossed it towards the direction of the retreating trio.

“Not this again!” Azrael shouted, moving in between the cubes and the trio.

Slashing at the cubes and protecting the trio, she hurried them to move inside.

This kept them busy.

Diane moved towards the sins at this time.

She looked at the injured Jason and his blood drenched face, then towards the panting James.

Her eyes could not be seen because of the HUD, but her expression seemed cold and ruthless.

Punching some commands on her wrist pad she gazed at the sky.

From along the clouds emerged the beast.

It hovered above the Altar near the sins as the cargo doors opened.

“Get back in.” Diane said as she observed the sins moving towards the beast, supporting one another.

At last she entered the beast, the cargo door shut tight and it took to the air.

Just as they were about to move away from the base, Diane spoke.

“Aria, target the pillars.”

[Command Acknowledged]

[Target received]

“Fire.” Sophie spoke without any change in her expression.

From above the beast, several light beams emerged from deep above the sky, piercing the atmosphere, they were aimed at the pillars and collided with it.

The pillars were turned into ash, scattering into the winds.

[Target neutralized]

“Woah, what was that!” Kevin gazed towards the sky from the cockpit window in surprise and exclaimed.
