After a while, Tensai pointed at one corner of the board.

Hm? What is it……er, Please steal the undergarments of a girl from my class. What is this! This is a crime! Are you sure, Sanada!

By reflex, I looked at Sanada who was sitting in front of the pc.

Sure, no problem.

Isn’t this a crime?

It is a crime, but we only act as the middle man. We don’t have any sort of responsibility for the jobs posted. Even if the police catch the thief, only they would be punished, not us..

So illegal stuff is alright as well, huh.

That is why these jobs are illegal. Anyone can ask for anything. We only intervene if there is some trouble in the payment. We don’t care what else happens. It is your own responsibility.

I had thought he was quite a respectable guy since he makes contracts. Yet it seems that this is an illegal organization, since there are some criminal jobs as well.

Ah yes. Of course, we would reject the kinds of jobs that are way too crazy. But it seems like the boss had decided that this is alright. The pay is ¥500,000 you know. That means that this bastard really likes the girl.

While laughing, Sanada casually called the guy a bastard. Well, true though.

Well, nevertheless, I do not intend to accept such jobs.

I looked at the board once again.

For starters, I wanted a job that I could finish by the weekend, and the pay was more than the target amount. (the amount of the bills)

While looking at the board, I stopped.

……This looks good.

I found a delivery job. It was helping out delivering some luggage, and it only took one day. Yet the pay was quite good, and was almost the same as my target amount.

This was quite a good part-time job. It should be better than working part-time on this island. I see. I did not think that there would be such high-paying illegal jobs. Well, that means that the job must be quite difficult though. Delivery job huh…… What, am I going to carry heavy loads? Oh yeah, I had heard that the part-time job for helping someone move in is quite a tough job, but also has a good pay. Who had told me that…… oh yeah it was my former neighbor?

===================================================

Hey, stop fooling around Jūgo. I can’t let you do that.

As a matter of course, my current neighbor was angry at how the jobhad no criminal aspect.

I pulled the idiot’s cheeks from both sides, and made her cryAiee!? . Then I took the paper and headed towards Sanada.

Please give me this.

Upon seeing the paper, Sanada nodded.

Alright, got it. I am going to make the contract.

Hey, Sanada. I won’t let him get such a normal job.

Shut up, great detective.

You idiot. Besides, it is unlikely that there would be the type of dangerous job that you want me to get.

While I was exasperated at her in my mind, Sanada passed me the contract that he had made.

Alright then, please sign this.

I signed the contract and stamped my thumbprint. I took the paper and took out cash from my pocket to pay the administrative fee. Deal.

I was relieved at how I had somehow secured a part-time job to get the money I needed. Meanwhile, the great detective pointed her hands to me and was doing something.

What are you doing?

I am casting a magic spell so that your part-time job will become something criminal.

Stop saying such dangerous things.

I pulled on Tensai’s cheeks to warn her that she shouldn’t wish for such dangerous things. The great detective cried out, Aiee, and stared at me with teary eyes.

Hey you guys. Stop doing those things in front of me. It really annoys me.

Sanada said so with a serious expression. So pulling Tensai’s cheek we left the guild.

Section 3

Two days later. I had left school early by saying that I felt unwell just when the lunch break started. I had arrived at the meet-up location as the contract instructed.

It was a café with an open balcony along the coast.

Since I might be caught if I was wearing a uniform while roaming around the town at this time of day, I changed into my street cloths at a nearby mall. Then I had placed my luggage at the nearby coin locker.

I was waiting at the meet-up spot without my luggage. Meanwhile, I thought about the part-time work I was about to do.

I wonder what I am going to carry? 」「I hope my employee is a beautiful woman that is older than me. While I was daydreaming, a thick masculine voice suddenly called me. Hey.

When I turned around, there was a fierce-looking middle-aged man. He did not suit this island at all. From first glance, he looked like some mob gangster from some yakuza film I had randomly watched when I was young. Actually, the fact that he wore a trench coat during June on a southern island made him weird.

Are you the delivery guy from the guild?

D.. delivery guy? I did come for a part-time delivery job.

Then it must be you.

Is this really fierce and dangerous-looking guy really my employer? Hey, if I remember correctly, the name listed on the contract was……

Erm, are you Dokin Chan[1. TL Note: Name of a female character who is the secondary antagonist in the anime “Anpanman”.]?

Yes, I am Dokin Chan.

The middle-aged man that looked like a gangster called himself Dokin Chan with a thick and rough voice. It was an extremely weird situation.

You should have figured it out by now, but that is a fake name.

Of course.

If his real name is Dokin Chan, this middle-aged man would just be too funny to be real..

There isn’t much time. Listen to me carefully, because I am going to explain the job simply. You are going to deliver the luggage by 4 pm to the destination.

I glanced at the clock on the pillar nearby. It was almost 1 pm.

What am I going to deliver?

It is this.

The Dokin Chan (with a regent hairstyle) placed a silver attaché case that he had been holding on his right hand on the table. The attaché case was a little smaller than a normal weekly magazine.

What is inside?

You don’t need to know.

……What?

There is a dial lock on this. You only need to deliver this to the destination.

Erm, er……

The place is this place in the Tsukuyomi Town.

     He passed me a paper.

Erm, sorry. Where is the ((Tsukuyomi Town))?

When I asked this, Dokin Chan made an exasperated face.

Are you really a student from this island?

Well, yes.

It refers to the Ninth Town.

No, I really don’t know where that is.

Dokin Chan glanced at the clock and clicked his tongue. He took out a notepad from his coat’s pocket and wrote down the directions. He ripped the paper off and gave it to me.

Argh. There isn’t much time left. Counting on you, Anpanman [1. TL Note: The main character of the anime “Anpanman”.]

A.. Anpanman?

It is your code name.

The moment the clock in the pillar struck one, Dokin Chan (that looked to be about the latter half of his 40s) left hurriedly. What was left was an attaché case that I did not know what it contained, and the map with directions to the destination. And me with the codename Anpanman

……I guess I’ll go then.

I took the handle of the attaché case and started walking.

Erm, I must ride on the tram first, huh.

I followed the map and rode on the tram at a nearby tram stop. The main mode of transportation on Nanae Island is the tram. The tram slowly moved along the main road where there were very little cars.

Usually, this is a time when there is school so the tram was mostly empty. There were only three other passengers. One was a mother with a baby, another was a young woman that looked like a housewife with a grocery bag. Another was a university student girl that was reading a book.

Since coincidentally there was the tram map for the island near my seat, I took a look.

I see, that is how it works huh.

With the First District (originally a deserted island that this island was built on) in the center, this Nanae Island was built in a circle. There were five districts in total so far. There were many towns on this island, which was connected by tram.

While I was looking at the map, I realized something weird.
