  We both stood up and Yumeji-san smiled at me.

「I’m so happy I was able to speak to a wonderful girl like you today, Hoshino-san.」

  I am also happy I was able to have a fun talk with Yumeji-san, but what he said was a bit of a shock. I cry a little; I am a guy after all!   At this time, the sun had already set. The place where Tensai and I had found ourselves was in front of room 202 of the Happiness Dormitories.

  Opening the door with a face that looked as if he hated the situation, Yama Juugo-kun came out of the door that Tensai had been beating so loudly it bothered the entire neighborhood.   I can’t believe it, he is so rude.

  Tensai and I (but secretly only Tensai) are now getting our punishment for losing at cards a while ago. So we come to eat dinner cooked by Juugo-kun two times a week. I also think it is weird to be treated to dinner as a punishment, but it was decided like this so it cannot be helped.

  However, recently you can’t really say we come two days a week. It has become more like three or four times a week to Juugo’s room to get treated to dinner like this.

「Ah, Tensai-chan. D’Arc-chan, good evening.」

「I.. it’s not like we had a choice, Nanana-dono. It’s our punishment for losing that game after all. It’s not like I really want to be here, okay?」

  Tensai tries to put on a tough act like that, but in her heart she is very happy to have made a friend like Nanana-san. Coming over to hang out in room 202 makes her happy. I have been thinking this already since I have been with Tensai for this long, but she is probably very clumsy when it comes to interacting with other people. It has to do with things like Tensai’s early childhood years, the environment she grew up in, the thing about her father. I think there might be a bunch of reasons. And well, though these are just the words of an assistant like me, her personality is also a bit weird.

  That’s why, as far as I know, there weren’t really any friends in Tensai’s life. In the First Private Highschool that she attended previously, she was also always alone. That’s why I am so glad that she has been getting along well with Nanana-san and Juugo-kun, since the recent developments. Thanks to them, I get the feeling that she stopped needlessly putting on front.

  She is untactful at explaining things as always, but I think that has been getting a bit better. In Tensai’s case that is already a good inclination.

  Today, just like usual, Tensai is chatting with Nanana-san while doing things like watching TV and playing games.

  While I smile at this scene, I aim my gaze at Juugo-kun. After all, my goal today is to steal Juugo-kun’s manliness. Juugo-kun is lewd, ill-mannered, and just very lewd. Ahhhh, and on top of that, the way he added everything at once is really not good! He needs to add the ingredients in order of what takes the longest to cook……. and should add the meat before adding the vegetables!

  Ohhh, he stirred around randomly and now because of that some of the vegetables fell out of the skillet!

「Hey…」

  Why is he picking the fallen pieces of vegetable up and putting them back into the pan?! That is super gross! Is he thinking it is okay because he is heating it over a fire?! That is not what hygiene is about at all! This is, this is……

「Like I said D’Arc, what are you so intensely staring at, standing right next to me?」

「….huh?」

  When I came back to my senses, I was suddenly standing right next to Juugo-kun. It seems like I had unconsciously gotten closer while I had been watching his unacceptable behavior. And because he was looking at me instead of the pan, Juugo-kun let some veggies fly out of the skillet again. It is over now, I cannot bear this any longer.

「Please switch with me.」

「… heh?」

「Please let me take over, I’ll make the food in your stead.」

「Woah, it tastes delicious!」

  Juugo moaned when he put his chopsticks loaded with some of the stir-fry in his mouth and tasted it.

「Fufufu, do you consider yourself beaten yet, Juugo?」

「Why are you the one bragging, Tensai?」

  Juugo poked fun at the very satisfied looking Tensai.
