Chapter 2: The Monkey of the Mori clan

Let us rewind time a little bit, and go back to Honbyo-ji right at the end of the battle between Honbyo-ji and the Oda clan.

The rulers of the Chuugoku region – the Mori Clan – were originally a small but powerful clan that was falling into obscurity in the corner of the Aki province, but within the span of one generation, the so-called First Generation Head Mori Motonari rose to fame and power and conquered the entire Chuugoku region, and now the Mori clan became the greatest Daimyos of the west ruling a total of 11 territories in San’in and San’yo.
