Why does Kenshin have to live alone in the 「past」?

What is binding her there?

One reason is that she was born without any melanin in her body, but there must be more to it. Uesugi Kenshin is not someone who would continue to be bound by the strangeness of her appearance.

There must be something much greater in her heart than that.

(Why did Kenshin come to believe that she was Bishamonten? Why did she cease to be a human? Why did she become a god? The clue must be somewhere!)

Kanetsugu was convinced of that.

However, there was no time left to use this clue to find the true identity of the thing that is binding Kenshin’s heart to the 「past」.

While Kanetsugu continues to think if there is a way to save Kenshin, Uesugi Kenshin has made up her mind.
