The volunteer force centered around the L451 Defense Dome was locked in battle with Greisen, a faction aligned with the Argonautai.

Both sides had abundant equipment supplied by their respective backers. Where once Greisen had trampled over them without resistance, in recent days they had been made to taste bitter defeat at the hands of the defense corps that had rallied around L451.
