The line sounded like a con artist’s pitch, and Kou nearly got caught up thinking about it—before he realized it was exactly the sort of thing a god of thieves would say.

Between that and the retro game reference earlier, Hermes might be trying to shake him. Kou met Hades’s eyes and signaled that he was fine.

「Hmph.」

Okeanos gave a cool, faintly derisive sound—clearly unconvinced.

「Ha-ha. I may have overdone the mischief. But once you hear the content, you’ll think better of me.」

「I don’t think anyone would dare look down on you and take you lightly, Hermes.」

「Coming from Asia’s Knight, that’s high praise! I’m touched.」
