Performance Requirements

「Kelly. I’d like you to handle the new weapons for the Tachycineta unit. With the detonation drive capabilities, what we need is a transformable Silhouette that combines mobility and combat power—on par with the performance of existing high-grade Silhouettes. The minimum specifications I want met are in the dossier.」

Transformable Silhouettes inevitably lose performance compared to same-cost, same-weight Silhouettes because of their transformation mechanisms.
The Tachycineta, however, had already been fielded as high-mobility lightweight craft, spending the equivalent cost of a high-performance unit.
