Gallop Corporation had asked for cooperation, but the knowledge of what had happened in the ruins of J778’s Defense Dome left them unable to sit still.
「How many Yoanias are left?」
「Eight. The others were stripped when we transplanted their metallic hydrogen reactors and scrapped.」
「Load every emergency kit and ration you can on the Yoanias. I’m heading to the J778 Defense Dome ruins on my own discretion. Don’t tell Commander Barry or Kinukawa-san.」
Without an A-Carbuncle, the Dome couldn’t synthesize even minimal nutrition. At best, they might coax out water using an MCS with an active reactor.
The report said only wounded children remained. The situation was hopeless.
「Don’t be stupid. You can’t load much in the back seat. We’re taking a Type-2 Flying Boat with a rescue vehicle on board. You prioritize the ones on death’s door.」
