After finishing their scouting trip to the Palaestra, the three decided to part ways. Bardo mentioned he’d be heading straight back to his own lodging.
Hyoue had already stationed his Lanius at the same lodging facility as Kou. Soon after, an Oikos arrived to pick them up, and they returned to their quarters in Altis.
Voy and Hyoue’s Familia, Taa-kun, were performing maintenance on their Silhouettes.
「Glad you showed up, Taa-kun! You really saved our asses.」
「Oh, not at all. I was just wondering how to approach the maintenance myself. I appreciate the chance.」
Unlike the more casual Voy, Taa-kun was a polite and well-mannered Familia of the Hayataka type. He’d been with Hyoue for over a decade by now.
Saying he’d turn in for the night, Hyoue entered the lodging first. That left Kou to talk with Voy and Taa-kun about their approach to Unit 5.
