CHAPTER 100 PART 2

It seems that if I were to abuse that power, the blade of the dagger would be unable to withstand the accumulation of the Ultimate Species’ power and it would simply shatter to pieces.

Or at the very least, that was the explanation that I was given by Gantz-san before.

「So, does that mean that it’s my time to shine now?」

「No. Please leave this thing right here to me.」

「…… Nyan?」

There was one thing that I really wanted to try doing here.

The moment I signed a contract with Nina, a certain knowledge flowed into my body.

It was about the power I had gained by signing a contract with Nina.

It was as if I had been using that power for many years, and I had just learned a certain way in which I would be able to put it to a good use.

I was going to try it out sooner or later……

But I guess that right about now was as good of a time as any to get on with it.

「“Create”.」

I then imagined a certain object inside of my mind and chanted the magic formula.

Then, instead of consuming my Magic Power, a certain substance was created.

Material Creation.

This was my newly acquired power. The power that I have gained thanks to my bond with Nina.

「M-Material Creation……? But that’s a truly rare skill for someone to have, even amongst the Ultimate Species of the God Tribe……」

「And just like that, Rein takes yet another step on the path of becoming something completely outrageous and escaping the boundary of human comprehension……」

「Hey, come on now. I told you guys to stop describing me in such a weird way.」

I’m just your regular Beast Tamer. The one that can be easily found virtually everywhere.

But, putting all that aside for the time being……

I set the makeshift gunpowder that I created down at the door.

Next, I told everyone else to back down from those doors as far as it was possible and……

「“Fireball!”」

Using the bare minimum of my magic power output, I shot the fireball towards the gunpowder in order to ignite it.

KABOOOM!!!!!!

With a bursting sound of an explosion, the iron door was blown open with ease.

Oh damn.

I was thinking that I should just use gunpowder to blow it up, and I happened to forget to adjust the amount of explosives themselves.

As a result of that, there was quite an explosion that followed suit.

Was Zipek safe inside of that room?

…… Oh well, not that I really care about his well-being or anything like that, but it would be a waste if he was to die prematurely.

「Hyiiiiiihhhhhh……!? W-What the!? What is going on!? What the hell happened?!」

I heard a voice from inside the room the very next moment.

Could it be that the one it belonged to was actually Zipek?

It seems that luck was on his side, and he managed to get out of the explosion unharmed.

I then turned towards everyone else, gave them a short signal with my eyes and we all rushed inside of the room at once.

There was the steel-reinforced door, blown open and stuck in the opposite wall, having crushed the desk on its way there.　

Right next to it, there was an old man sitting on the floor, hunched over and shaking.

When he saw us, the look on his face turned into that of momentary relief.

「W-Who the hell are you, you lot!? W-Well, it doesn’t really matter now! Hurry! You must protect me! We have filthy brigands assaulting the house as we speak!」

「Yes, that’s right. And those “filthy brigands” that you speak of would actually be us.」

「W-What the……!? What did you just say!? K-Kuh…… Hey! Someone! Anyone! Please, come and save me! The filthy brigands are already here!」

「If it’s help that you are calling for, then no one is going to come. They are all sleeping soundly right over there.」

「And just so you know, don’t even think about escaping through the back door. We have that exit covered as well. So there’s nowhere else for you to run or hide.」.

「…… Yeah.」

「N-No way……!! That’s impossible! Impossible! T-This cannot be! Impossible, I will never admit it!」

Even though the situation was clearly over for Zipek, he seemed more than adamant on refusing to admit it. He was doing whatever it was in his power to refuse to accept reality.

And he was screaming so much that his face actually turned red.

「You…… You insolent mongrels! Who the hell do you think you are!? N-No, forget about that! Do you even realize who I am!? You are in the presence of the greatest merchant in this entire city, Toran-sama! I don’t know what your reasoning here is, but don’t you think even for a moment that you are going to get away with this! You are going to pay!」

「That’s actually our line.」

「…… Huh?」

Zipek shook his body angrily as he continued to spat out one word after another with anger and fury.

All of his guards were currently down, and there was no way out for him from this situation.

He finally must have realized that, as well as the fact that we are currently holding the power over his very life in our hands. It was for us to decide whether or not he would live or die.

「Tran Zipek, we are the Adventurers who are affiliated with this city’s Adventurers’ Guild. We are here to take you in on suspicion of your involvement in the illegal trafficking of endangered animals.」

「W-Wha…… Wha……!? W-Wait, wait, wait, wait! Y- You said you were all Adventurers? T-Then let me pay you double! N-No, scratch that! Triple the amount of what you were promised as payment! S-So there you have it! Let’s talk it out! Don’t go doing anything nonsensical now! T-Think about it! Think about just how tremendous of a loss that would be to the entire merchant community and this city as a whole if you were to take me in!」

「First you threaten us, and once that fails you try to bribe us…… You truly are a villain, huh? And a terrible one at that.」

「Nyah, this guy is getting more and more annoying by the minute. Can I deck him really good so we can be done with him?」

「Please don’t.」

「Hueh? But why!?」

「The only one who has the right to do that…… is Tina and Tina alone.」

I then took a step to the side and……

By doing so, I paved the way for Tina to step forward.

Tina flew fluffily through the air and moved right in front of Zipek.

「What is this…… this thing……!? Is that…… Is that a ghost!? Is that what this is!?」

「It’s so nice to be able to see you again, Master. Do you perhaps remember me?」

「W-What the!? N-No! What are you saying!? I don’t know any ghosts…… N-No, wait a moment…… Wait, wait, wait, wait…… N-No, that’s impossible! It cannot be! T-That face, could it be that……」
