Beast Tamer Who Got Kicked Out From the Hero’s Party Chapter 101 Part 1
CHAPTER 101: THE NEW OATH PART 1
We tied up the still unconscious Zipek and then we took him straight to the Adventurers’ Guild.
With the testimony obtained from the poachers we had caught beforehand, the Guild seemed to have moved ahead and was working with the Knights Order to press formal charges against Zipek without delay.
Based on the poachers’ testimonies, they began to investigate the matter in greater detail.
And before long, they were able to obtain the physical evidence that they needed, which also made it impossible for Zipek to try and weasel his way out of this situation, no matter what he would try.
Of course, once Zipek regained consciousness and realized the situation that he was currently in, he started going on and on about not knowing any of this, and that he was most probably framed……
According to Stella’s words, the Knights found a lot of incriminating evidence back at his house in Horizon, leading not only to some shady backroom deals, but also all other manner of criminal activities.
Based on all that, it was quite easy for them to form the charges and get him convicted.
The way in which Stella summed that situation up was as follows: “He is almost certain to be sentenced to decades in prison and will not be able to see the light of day outside the prison walls until the end of his days.”
As a side note, apparently merchants and all sorts of wealthy and powerful people that were enjoying their lives full of luxury and exploiting those below them do not have an easy life.
So, depending on how fast the other prisoners catch wind of what’s what, Zipek would be able to get the full prison experience for himself really fast.
Considering what Zipek has done, I have no sympathy for him. None whatsoever……
He was the one who tortured Tina and her family to death, after all.
I would say that such treatment serves him right.
…… Oh, yes, that’s right. I almost forgot to mention what happened to the other party of troublemakers during this incident, Ogg and Kreutz.
「You have got to be fucking shitting me!!」
When I stopped by the Guild again, I saw that the interrogation against Ogg and Kreutz was just kicking into high gear.
Ogg’s screams echoed through the Guild’s halls.
And despite the fact that they were both incarcerated, Ogg’s voice was sounding pretty strong and full of vigor.
In contrast, Natalie-san, with a cold expression all over her face, told him without even an ounce of mercy in her voice.
「Oh, I’m afraid that I am not kidding, Ogg-san. In light of the recent events, yours and Kreutz-san’s Adventurers Licenses are going to be revoked, effective immediately. While it is true that the ones responsible for the double booking are us, the Guild, but…… But that doesn’t mean that you can arbitrarily take credit for someone else’s hard work. It is precisely those kinds of problematic actions that are going to undermine the people’s trust in the Adventurers’ Guild. And to make matters worse, you even openly attacked Shroud-san and his companions, fully intending on harming them or doing something even worse…… Those crimes are not light ones, Ogg-san.」
「Do you still believe that pile of bullshit!? We have been framed, I tell you! Framed! By that stupid kid and his underlings!」
「Yes, that’s right! There is no way that such proper Adventurers like us would ever do any of those things! This is all just a ploy made up by that brat to discredit us!」
「…… Haah……」
Natalie-san let out a disgusted sigh and shook her head in disbelief.
「It honestly baffles me that you think that anyone would believe in that far-fetched story of yours. Or is there anyone like that here?」
Natalie-san asked the Adventurers who just happened to be around, but no one raised their hands.
Everyone was only sending dumbfounded gazes towards Ogg and Kreutz.
「W-What the hell!? Why are you looking at us like that……!?」
「Dude, do you even realize what you have done? You just picked a fight with someone who recently became this town’s Hero.」
「After pulling a stunt like that, no one will ever want to have you guys around here anymore.」
「Just hurry it up and get lost already, why don’t you?」
「G-Guh…… T-This is…… something like this happening to us……」
Both Ogg and Kreutz turned blue and red in their faces as the Adventurers around them said harsh words to them one after another.
「Natalie-san, I think I’m going to leave the rest to you.」
「Yes, I’ll take care of it. You can count on that.」
I was about to leave the Guild’s building, leaving the administrators of the Guild to clean up after the mess that they have inadvertently created.
It was then that I heard both Ogg and Kreutz calling out to me from behind my back.
「W-Wait! Wait a moment! Okay, I admit it! We were the ones who were in the wrong! We apologize for that……!」
「Kuh…… We will pay! If it is money that you want as compensation, we will give you as much as you could possibly want! S-So how about we put this whole mess behind us and just forget that it ever happened……」
「I’m sorry, guys.」
I interrupted them and told them over my back.
「There is one thing I forgot to mention to you two. I’m really angry with you, you know?」
「Huh……?」
「Don’t think even for a moment how you tried to turn your blades on my comrades and hurt them.」
Cornered, upset, and utterly defeated, those two tried to hurt Kanade and the others in hopes of emerging on top of us.
That was something that I absolutely could not forgive.
「I’d say that you’ve got what you rightfully deserved. Now start acting like men and accept the consequences of your own actions already.」
I then turned around slightly, only to find out that both Ogg and Kreutz were on their knees, looking at me in disbelief and their mouths moving open and close, with no sounds coming out of them.
Casting a quick glance at them for the last time, I turned myself around and left the Guild building.
This marked the end of the request that we have accepted, as well as the end of the incident that actually followed because of it.

「Nyafuh♪」
When I got back home, Kanade was actively lazying around on the couch.
She makes a grinning face of self-satisfaction as she gently flapped her tail around..
Looking at her in utter disbelief, Tanya muttered more to herself rather than to anyone in particular.
「That’s the proof of bad manners, you know? What are you doing right now?」
「That’s because I’m tired of everything that has happened recently! And lazying around at home truly feels the best!」
「Sora has to agree with that statement. I feel a lot safer when we have our very own base of operations. You can really relax in the truest sense of the word because of that.」
