CHAPTER 123: A TIME TO TAKE IT EASY PART 1

「Funyaaahhh~~~.」

Kanade let out a long and mellow sigh as she dipped her body into the hot water all the way up to her shoulders.

Her eyelids were drooping sloppily and she looked positively ecstatic.

Her cheeks were also flushed in a slight cherry-red hue.

However, Kanade was not the only one who was presenting an unsightly appearance like that.

The other members of Rein’s party were also soaking in the hot water, looking as comfortable as ever.

……..Well, since Tina was a ghost, so technically speaking, she was the only one who was not soaking in hot water. She was only pretending that she was doing that, but……

Everyone seemed to understand that mentioning that right now would just be extremely rude, and so no one was actually saying anything to her.

It was the time for everyone to take a bath together after a long day of grueling training.

And so, everyone was sharing that peaceful moment with everyone else with bright and relaxed smiles on their faces.

「Say, say, Kanade?」

「Hmm~? What’s up, Tina?」

「I hate to be the one to ask you this, but shouldn’t you be really bad at taking baths, Kanade?」

「…… Hm? No, not at all? I love taking baths just as everyone else. Why? Why would you ever think that?」

「I mean, because…… Look. Most cats don’t like to take a bath, do they?　That’s why I wondered if Kanade was not good at it, too. Since you are a Cat Spirit Tribe and all that……」

「Oh, I see. That’s what you mean.」

「Oh yes, I have been wondering about that, too. I mean, didn’t you say before that you used to be not all that keen on baths? So what’s up with that?」

Tina’s question was then promptly followed up by Luna.

Kanade then chuckled at the two of them with a smug look on her face.

「Well, it’s true that there are many of the Cat Spirit Tribe who don’t like to take a bath at all, of that you can be sure. Actually, even nowadays the number of such people is still relatively high, so I’m wondering if maybe I’m the only one who’s odd there? Even though in the very beginning I wasn’t all that keen on them, either. However, the moment I started to take baths with others and I discovered the joys of it, that feeling of being opposed to them gradually started to disappear. It’s a warm and fuzzy feeling, and if it was not for suffering from a heat stroke, I could even take a bath all the time without exiting from it.」

「Ahh, now I see it. I can see where you are coming from with that line of thinking. Actually, if my body was not the way it is now, I would like to take long and relaxing baths like this one every single day.」

「Umu. The ancient saying rings true: a good bath is the moisture of life.」

「This is actually the first time I have heard of an ancient saying like that.」

Upon hearing Luna’s words, Sora cocked her head to the side in puzzlement, not understanding what her sister was going on about.

「Well, well, well, Sister Dearest! No wonder you have never heard of this saying before! After all, I’m the one who made it all up just now!」

「Luna, don’t you think it’s high time for you to actually do something about that personality of yours? Especially the way in which you just charge straight ahead with whatever it is that comes to your mind without thinking about the possible consequences?」

「And why would I even want to do that!?」

The moment that Luna answered in such a way while puffing out her chest with abhorrent pride, Sora only shook her head in disbelief and ultimately gave up on dragging that conversation any further.

She also looked as though she was wondering how it was possible for Luna to grow up into THAT kind of person.

She could only hope here that Luna did not actually grow up to be like this by virtue of watching her older sister and copying her example. Because that would have been too much for her to possibly bear.

At the same time, Nina found herself staring at Tanya really intently.

To be more precise, she was looking at Tanya’s ample chest.

Tanya, noticing Nina’s gaze, turned towards her and asked:

「Hm? What’s wrong, Nina?」

「…… Wah.」

Instead of answering, Nina just continued to look at Tanya, looking somewhat impressed and surprised at the same time.

「Tanya…… Your boobs are…… really big, aren’t they?」

「Are they, really?」

Kanade and the others who were listening to the story also spasmed violently, almost ending up in the same way as Tanya did.

Seeing the somewhat visceral reaction of her companions, Nina looked at them with a mixture of both puzzlement and bewilderment.

「What’s the matter…… everyone……?」

「Nina- sweetie…… That thing about the bigger the boobs, the better…… Where did you learn something like that, if you don’t mind sharing?」

「The last time that we…… went to the Adventurers’ Guild together…… I have heard that…… some Adventurers were…… talking about that matter…… out… something like that? That for a man…… the bigger is always…… the better……」

Alright, next time we are going to be at the Adventurers’ Guild, I am SO going to burn those stupid Adventurers to a crisp!

It was a decision that Tanya made in that very moment inside of her mind, and the one that she was going to keep to herself for the time being.

「Umm, listen here, Nina. I don’t know how to break that to you, so…… Umm…… You know, that kind of thing really varies from one person to another and their personal tastes. So you don’t really have to worry about it so much, or anything like that.」
