Would Iris, a being regarded as walking cataclysm, ever call such a weak bluff?

「If you really think that you have allies here, I’d much like to see them!」

「Now then, I guess I will just have to show them to you.」

Iris then gave a deliberate bow.

Then, in a beautiful voice, she spun the words of a true curse.

「Thou are I. And I am thou. Gathered in this right hand is Power. Gathered in this left hand is a Seal. Grant me thine strength. Come to my side. I call on thou, and now thou are here!」

After that, a magic circle spread out at Iris’ feet.

It spread out as time passed and covered the entire ground around her.

「What the!?」

「This is……」

Arios’s eyes widened in surprise.

Maybe I had a similar look on my face at that moment, but it was hard for me to tell.

As if answering Iris’s voice, monsters began to emerge from the magic circle.

This might have very well been a sign that she was taking us lightly and did not consider us to be a threat to her.

「This might be a good opportunity to tell you this, since you seem to be starving for all sorts of information. Also, it’s not like it’s something that I do not want you to know about. Even if I tell you this, it won’t change a thing here.」

Iris seemed to be having fun…… and then she dropped the hopeless truth onto us like a strike of a mighty sledgehammer.

「There’s no limit to what we, the Summoners, can summon. Time, place, race, power level…… You can even transcend the barrier of worlds and time-space continuum in order to summon your desired target.」

「What is that even supposed to mean?」

「Oh my, you don’t get it? Well then…… This is exactly what I mean. Come to me, myself. Don’t be shy.」

Another magic circle started to spread out beneath Iris’s feet.

And what appeared from the inside of that magic circle, was……」

「Another…… Iris……?」

It was a girl who looked exactly the same as Iris right here.

That girl scurried around and looked around, as if she was somewhat confused as to what was happening……

But eventually, when she locked eyes with the first Iris, she seemed to have understood the situation she was in and let out a playful sigh.

「My, oh my. This again? So soon?」

The girl sounded exactly the same as Iris when she said that.

「Yes, again, myself.」

「You and I are one and the same, but we are still somewhat different. I’m happy to help you out, but I don’t like the idea of you being used for your own convenience like some kind of tool.」

「I am really sorry for that. I promise that I shall reflect on my actions in the future.」

「Will you know?」

「But still, surely you share the same sentiment as I do? About killing humans, that is? Because if that is the case, then surely we will be able to find some common ground.」

The two Irises then laughed.

Worlds that you can’t quite go to or have visitors from. But there are many worlds like this one. I wondered if Iris had summoned herself from among one of those countless worlds?」

「But wouldn’t that…… In other words, does that mean that she can keep on summoning more and more copies of herself?」

「Hmm…… Yes. And most probably, her summoned copies possess the same abilities that she does. Meaning, they can summon as well.」

「Fufufu, why, yes.」

Iris, who had been listening to our conversation with great interest, replied with a smile.

「Why, yes, that’s right. But you see, the sand thing is…… Not all of my versions out there are willing to cooperate with me at times. Since it’s an entire universe of different possibilities out there, some of myself turned out to be completely opposite of myself…… So I cannot actually summon them infinitely. However, I can lightly summon a few dozen more people like that. But………I think the monsters and another me will be more than enough to eradicate this entire place.」

Apparently, Iris was not going to summon more copies of herself here.

Was it her own decision? Or was it simply that she was greatly underestimating us?
