「What do you think about that, huh?　Since the three of us are all saying that, it surely must be sincere. So how about we let bygones be bygones, huh?」

What are these guys even talking about?

To me, those four were just spouting nonsense without stopping, and now they wanted to drag me into their pace.

And even though they said that they were here to apologize to me, I was having trouble with sensing even an ounce of sincerity coming from their words.

On the contrary, they were making excuses all the time, saying that it was something that couldn’t be helped, and they were probably thinking that this was more than good enough of an apology on their end.

So, rather than being apologized to, I was getting a feeling that I was being mocked here, and that they wanted to provoke some reaction out of me. It was all a little bit too far-fetched.

「Nyah, Rein…… Who are these guys?」

「Not to mention that first they come out of nowhere, and then they block the road? Don’t they realize that they are being a bother to other people?」

Kanade and Tanya stepped forward while asking me those questions.

And while they were being at it, they put little to no effort into trying to hide their sullen expressions.

Combined that with the feeling that Arios’s group was actually looking to pick a fight here, the atmosphere in this place was really tense, with killing intent so potent that you could actually grab a hold of it.

「Looking closely at the two of you…… Huh!? This one is a Cat Spirit Tribe, and that one…… HUH!? A Dragon Tribe!? What are such powerful creatures doing in a place like this……!?」

「We are Rein’s trusty comrades.」

「And you guys, who might you be?」

「What!? That’s utterly absurd! Cat Spirit Tribe and Dragon Tribe…… Two of the strongest Ultimate Species joined Rein? And they are calling him their comrade? Then Tanya and Kanade stepped back, just like I asked them to.

Seeing that, Arios and the others look blatantly relieved.

「Sorry about that, Rein. Apparently, we caused those girls to misunderstand our intentions here. I apologize for that.」

But instead of feeling angry, I was starting to feel colder and colder.
