CHAPTER 49: THE SON OF THE LORD PART 1

That person could not have been over twenty years old, so I would hazard a guess that he was roughly the same age as me?

He was obviously male, but his golden and shiny hair were nearly as long as that of a woman.

But even so, that hairstyle of his did not seem to be overbearing, and instead it was complimenting his appearance rather nicely.

If I were a woman, I might have fallen in love with him right on the spot.

But…… I wonder why?

Not only all of the women around us were not fawning over the guy, but actually they were giving him the looks as if they were looking onto something utterly unpleasant.

And while we are on the subject, those stares were directed at him not by women exclusively. The men also looked at him with utter disgust and contempt.

Just who the hell is this guy, I wonder?

「Oi, can’t you hear me? Hey, I’m talking to you!」

「Yes? What is it?」

「No, not you! I’m talking to those two!」

「Are you talking about Sora?」

「Hm? Are you talking about me?」

While both Sora and Luna looked visibly puzzled that some strange, unfamiliar man would talk to them in the middle of the street, the man in question walked up to them.

「What are your names, you two?」

「…… And where did that come from all of a sudden?」

「Don’t sweat the small details, and just answer the question. I’m the one who asked you first, alright? Come on now, what’s wrong? What are your names? Just give them to me.」

「…… I’m Sora.」

「And I’m Luna.」

「…… Fumu. Sora and Luna, huh…… Yes, those are good-sounding names. Yes, they are pretty good-looking, and I think that playing around with them is going to be a whole lot of fun. Alright then, it’s decided! Starting from today, you two are going to be my women! Aren’t you glad?」

「「SAY WHAT NOW!?」」

The sudden and outrageous declaration of the man has left both Sora and Luna in a state where their expressions were pretty much blank.

Just what is this man even saying? What’s his deal?

And how come he was able to say something as outrageous like that in broad daylight? Does he have no shame at all?

「H-Huh!? ‘What the hell is this guy even saying!? Are you an idiot? Is everything alright with your head? Or is it just for decoration?」

Uwah.

Come to think of it, Luna can be pretty savage with her words when she really means it.

Not to mention that the words that she spoke to that man were a whole lot harsher than I thought they would be.

However, hearing such vile words of abuse being hurled his way, the man did not get angry, but instead he laughed happily, as if he was genuinely amused.

「Kukuku, I cannot believe that there would be someone in this city who would actually have the guts to talk to me like that. But good, that’s great! This makes things way more fun! It makes it really worthwhile to properly discipline and train a defiant woman like that!」

「This guy…… Does he even listen to what people are saying to him? Like, at all? Because honestly, he seems to be stuck in his own little private world.」

「Yes, that’s right, and quite frankly, I find that really gross and disgusting…… Hey, Rein? Why don’t you do something about that guy, and fast?」

Apparently sensing that this man must have been really bad news, both Sora and Luna took refuge from him behind my back.

「Hey, you! Just what are you blabbering on about here? And even more importantly, just who the hell do you think you are, huh!?」

I asked the man as I stood in between him and Sora and Luna, acting like a sort of shield protecting them from him.

「Tch, I don’t really like to talk to men all that much, but…… Oh well. I guess it’s fine for now. You there, pleb. Don’t you know who I am?」

「No, I have no idea. That’s why I’m asking you that right now.」

「…… Huh. For there being someone who has no idea who I am…… Are you perhaps some sort of country bumpkin from the middle of a complete nowhere? But oh well, it doesn’t really matter all that much. In that case, allow me to illuminate you! I am Edgar Fromware, the only son of the Lord who rules over this very town of Horizon!」

「The only son of the Lord of this town……?」

「You said that your names are Sora and Luna, correct?　You should be honored to be my women. I’m going to give you both luxury and pleasure unlike any of which you have never even experienced before.」

「This person……..I have a very bad feeling about him. He’s really unpleasant. It’s as if someone just took everything that is bad and disgusting and unpleasant about people in general and molded those things into the shape of a person. …… And that description is putting my feelings very lightly.」

「Well, unfortunately for you, Luna has no intentions of going with someone such as yourself. My one and only Master is Rein, and Rein alone.」

「Hmph. I don’t care what you guys want. Your wishes are completely irrelevant before me. I have already made up my mind on making you mine. And because of that, you are going to come with me, whether you like it or not.」

This situation was growing to be more and more ridiculous by the seconds.

I actually couldn’t believe my ears. For there to be someone who could spout such tyrannical nonsense with a completely straight face, and with such confidence……

Is this man really the only son of this town’s Lord?

Maybe in title alone, because his actions and attitude were certainly not all that Lord-like.

「Now then, come on, both of you, let’s go. Just follow me. If you do that and do everything I say, I will show you a really good time and shower you with plenty of my love.」

「Weren’t you listening to what we were saying just a moment ago? We said that we refuse! So we are not going to be going with you anywhere!」

「Likewise. And besides, Luna doesn’t like people like you. Not even a bit!」

「You really are making this a whole lot more difficult than it has to be, you know? Didn’t I already tell you? Refuse me all you want, but you have no right to do so. What’s so difficult about that statement that you are finding so hard to understand?」

At that very moment the man…… Edgar snapped his fingers.

Out of nowhere, soldiers armed with swords and light armor appeared completely out of nowhere. They even had hounds with them, the ones that looked pretty much like some sort of special military breed destined for tracking and combat.
