「If there is anyone who’s stupid here, that would be you. Let me ask you the same question: didn’t you hear what I said? Because I never said anything about allowing you to just take Sora and Luna away.」

The soldiers set up a siege to prevent us from escaping.

As one of the soldiers approached me, probably thinking that without carrying weapons on me I must be defenseless, I used the first opportunity that presented itself to me and kicked him in the jaw.

Two soldiers slashed at me with their swords in a straight line.

But they were way too slow.

I aimed at the first soldier’s wrist and slammed in with a kick.

There was a loud noise and the sound of bone crunching reaching my ears.

The soldier let out a cry of agony and dropped his sword, kneeling down on the spot and holding his broken wrist.

I then spun around on one leg on the axis, like some sort of artisan moving atop of the stage.

Moving in a semi-circle, I hit the second soldier to the side of his head.

His helmet dented and the impact hits the soldier’s head directly.

The soldier staggered and groaned…… and then fell down to the ground, unable to move.

「T-This bastard……!!」

「He’s surprisingly strong!」

The instantaneous way in which I managed to turn the tables on the soldiers spread unrest among the rest of them.

Seeing his subordinates putting us such a miserable display, Edgar clicked his tongue in frustration.

「What the hell are you doing, you imbeciles!? It’s just one guy, and he’s defending two women!　And yet, he managed to utterly destroy you! Now, what should I think of that!? And how do you want me to react to that!?」

Like an animal being struck with a whip by its master, the soldiers become really agitated.

It was as if they were all suddenly struck by lightning.
