「…… I-Is that, so?」

Seemingly regaining her composure, Tanya sat back down in her chair.

I could see that Kanade’s eyes were solely turning into swirling circles from all of the intense thinking that she was trying to do here.

Maybe she was thinking too much and her brain was on the verge of short-circuiting.

It was Sora who then made a small suggestion:

「Then how about we remind them that it’s dangerous to mess with us? Maybe that would work as a deterrent here?」

「What do you mean by that?」

「We will show the Lord’s son the power of us all, making it clear that we are way more powerful than he could ever hope to become. On top of that, we will negotiate with him that he is going to keep his dirty hands off of us. With his superior ability to destroy evidence, the other party should not be willing to do anything stupid in that exact setting. If we show our power to him, he might think that it’s dangerous to mess with us, and he should retreat under whatever rock he had crawled from under.」

「Hmm. I was actually thinking the same thing.」

「Yes, with enough of a display of power, it might actually be possible to pull this off, but……」

「Nyah? What are you guys even talking about? You look rather happy, but I don’t get it!」

Hearing Kanade say that, Tanya only shook her head in disbelief, muttering “Good grief” under her nose.

「Do you want me to take a wild guess as to what Rain is thinking right now?」

「Hm? What? What is it?」

「If we do what Sora says, our problems might be solved, sure. But the people of the city?　They are going to be the ones who are going to suffer the biggest blow, having to endure possibly even more outlandish behaviors from then on out…… Or something like that?」

As much as I thought of such a thing to be really funny and entertaining, Tanya made a great case for what I was actually thinking.

Luna then continued while grinning widely.

「I’m not actually against an idea like that.」

「Sora and the others were saved by Rein and him being just like that. If you want to help the people of this city, I’m all for it.」

I’m glad that they all thought of the people of the city with such fondness and kindness.

That’s how much everyone’s words made my heart tremble.

「Alright!　So the basic policy of ours, then, is to do something that not only solves our current trouble, but also strikes at the root of the problem, is that right?」

I tried to think about it for a moment.

How to establish our security?

How to keep the peace for our city’s people?

How to stop an overbearing Lord and his tyrannical son?

How exactly are we going to achieve all those things with one fell swoop?

Then all of their wrongdoings are going to be revealed and the Lord will be disposed of.

But we don’t know how they are destroying the evidence.

I try to think of a few things here, but they are all just my own imagination and speculation.

I can’t find a clear answer, no matter how hard I seem to rattle my brain about it.
