Then I started waving my arm from right to left, as if trying to grasp at the empty space.

The ultra-thin wire was ejected from the mechanism inside of Narukami, got tangled with Nick’s arms and caught his body.

This is another gimmick that has been implanted inside of Narukami.

It ejects an ultra-thin wire that was difficult to see in order to capture and immobilize the target.
