CHAPTER 72: THE DECISIVE BATTLE *2*

The city was burning, set ablaze by that weird chain-lightning attack from the Demon just now.

The houses were collapsing.

The people were being consumed by the flames.

There were screams. There were shrieks. There were wails.

…… And there was blood flowing.

The scene of my burning hometown flashed back inside of my mind.

That kind of thing is happening all over again, and I was powerless to stop it.

Without even realizing it, I was gritting my teeth so hard that my entire jaw was starting to hurt and bleed.

This Demon…… He did all that just because it thought it would be so much fun to do so……!

Everyone, including Kanade, was glaring at the Demon with anger and hatred in their eyes.

Kanade hissed at the Demon while saying that……

It must have realized that close quarters combat was a position that was disadvantageous for it, especially against a Cat Spirit Tribe member. Not to mention a Cat Spirit Tribe that became serious and was going all out.

So it must have intended to maintain its distance and pick us out one by one without being at any direct risk.

But unfortunately for the Demon, there was someone who would not let that happen.

「This time around it’s my turn!」

Tanya flew out in the air.

She flapped her wings and stayed in the air.

The Demon’s stance collapsed and it then took a decent amount of Tanya’s Dragon Breath all over its body.

There was no way that we would ever pass up on this rare opportunity!

「Sora, Luna!」

「Already on it!」

「Leave it to me!」

As expected of those two. That’s what I’m talking about.

They seemed to have figured out what I wanted them to do right away.

Tanya’s turn was now over, and her Dragon Breath was suddenly cut off.

Seeing this, the Demon tried to fight back, but…….

He wouldn’t get a chance to do that.

And more importantly, Sora and Luna were way faster than that thing.

Let’s chain our attacks together into one seamless string.
Let’s work together to bring that thing down for good.
