「Rin, must I remind you that we are on a noble mission to eradicate the Demon Lord? Please keep those snobbish desires of yours to yourself.」

「Hey, a little bit of selfishness never killed anyone now, did it? Besides, you might want to loosen up, Mina. If you are going to be so tense all the time you are going to break down eventually.」

「T-This is, well……」

「By the way, I have just come to realize that our traveling expenses grew rather thin…… Does anyone know anything about that?」

Hearing Aggath’s words, Arios made a bitter expression for a moment.

The reason why their traveling expenses decreased so much was because Arios spent them without permission.

If that was found out by others, he would not be able to escape the blame for it

They have checked out of the inn and moved to the section of town that was usually lined up with various shops and stalls.

「Whoa there, Mister! What kind of a Hero raises his hand on some random citizen in the middle of the street like that?」

「I heard that you have decided to stay away from fighting that Demon the other day. It’s as if you have abandoned this town altogether! We don’t have to help scum like you! We don’t have to sell our wares to you, either!」

As if to follow the man’s words of critique, people all around them agreed that it is precisely like that.

Before Arios even knew it, this escalated into quite the scene.

There was a huge crowd of people gathered, and they were in the center of that crowd’s attention.

「You call yourself a Hero, yet you won’t help the people in their time of need……!」

「Are you really going to take down the Demon Lord at this rate? That Demon the other day…… surely you backed away from a fight because you were too scared of it to fight it! Or too weak to defeat it!」

Arios and the others flinched under the condemnation of the mass of people.

「Fuck this…… I can’t be bothered with these people any longer!　Let’s go!」

「B-But Arios, wait a moment! What about food and the……」

「You don’t have to worry about that. We’ll get it locally if we have to. I’m not going to stomach this atmosphere here any longer!」

「R-Right. I understand.」

People then shouted in anger, as if they were spitting out everything they had just endured all at once on Arios and his Party.

As for Arios and the others…… They have left the city of Horizon as if they were fleeing from it in panic.
