So there was nothing that the current Humans could possibly do about the fact that the current day Demons would hate and detest them.
There was nothing that the Humans could possibly do about the fact that the Demons might want to make them suffer in the same way and that they wanted to kill them.
It was something that was simply inevitable at this point.

It could not be said that the only thing that the Humans and Demons had going on for one another was the repeated cycle of tragedy, hatred and resentment.
There must have been something else here, something other than sadness, grief, and violence.
