……She’s good. While admonishing the crime Eve committed, she found a way to compromise, and on top of that, she turned it into something that could motivate her.

Perhaps Eve nodded her head in agreement knowing Sybilla’s true intentions. Still, thanks to that, I can tell that they’re getting along well and they have a trust-based relationship that doesn’t have any ulterior motives.

 

We’ve gained an unexpected companion, huh.

This is only the second time we’ve met, but… we don’t seem like strangers to each other at all.

And it looks like we can trust her abilities based on what we saw earlier.

Everyone nodded in agreement to Sybilla’s suggestion and we descended to the second floor.

 

…The staircase leading to the lower floor is weirdly long.

After walking down the wide staircase for a while, Emmy, who was at the front of the group, cried out in surprise, 「Whoa…!」

 

「What’s wrong?」

 

「N-Nothing, it’s just… this place… it’s so spacious!」

 

Following Emmy, Sybilla and I also arrived at the end of the stairs… and I was surprised to see that the stairs we descended from were so high up that they almost seemed like they were floating in mid-air.

After we descended that long staircase, we found ourselves in a small, elevated space. There was a wide space about the size of a large bedroom… and in each of the four corners, were staircases leading down.

It reminds me of a structure called a pyramid. And it looks like we’re on top of it right now.

 

Then, looking at the ground from the top of the pyramid we’re standing now, the surface has a reddish color.

Who would’ve thought that the second floor of this dungeon doesn’t have walls or anything like that and just seemingly expands downwards.

 

「However, judging from the color, this is definitely the lower layer. In other words, this is a newly created dungeon. So unless this is actually the fifth dungeon that is made even though the fourth dungeon isn’t completed yet, then this fourth dungeon was definitely created very recently.」

 

Oh right, the second floor in Adria dungeon was also the lowest layer when we first came in, but the next day it had turned to the lower layer.

But, the day after that, it was still the lower layer. That matches the information that that dungeon was newly created and that a dungeon can’t be expanded immediately after it was created just like Sybilla said.

 

「It looks simple, but it’s troublesome. And from the looks of it… the monsters are coming up from below and from all directions. Also, Eve-chan, I have to warn you not to get too far from Russell, okay? You need to stay close so you will be in the range of his defensive magic.」

 

「Yes ma’am!」

 

After checking with Eve, we each prepared to face the monsters of the lower layer.

I pull my sword from my waist and recast Wind Barrier.

 

I don’t know what kind of monsters will appear on this second floor, but… if it’s something that the Demon Lord has prepared for us, then we’ll make sure to wipe them out.
