Information About Eve And Twilight-related Jobs. And The Tedious Exploration of The Second Floor

「By the way…」

Sybilla stares at Eve while we all descend from the pyramid on the second floor.

「W-What’s up?」

「Even though I could tell that Eve-chan is a girl at first glance, there was one thing I forgot to confirm. This is just my guess, but… you have received a Job from the Goddess, haven’t you, Eve-chan?」

「Ah… well, I have, yeah. It was right after the adults disappeared from our church, and since I had some knowledge about it, when a voice suddenly told me 【Assassin】 level 1, I was like, “So this is my Job, huh?”. Though just now, the same woman’s voice told me that my level went up to level 6.」

Assassin… I see, that explains how she was able to make those moves earlier.

It’s said that it’s possible to fight in the first dungeon without the blessing of one’s job but to think that she showed such overwhelming skills against the monsters of the second dungeon.

「Hey Sybilla, is the 【Twilight Sorcerer】Job can only be obtained by converting Priest and Saint?」

I knew you wouldn’t put others in danger just to convert their jobs to Twilight-related jobs.

Of course, I knew from the start you wouldn’t do something like that, but being able to say it outright makes a world of difference.

Still, the 『Twilight Goddess』 and other Twilight-related Jobs, huh?

I’m curious to know what other kinds of Jobs there are, but… it’s just me the 【Twilight Sorcerer】 for now.

I might be the only one with Twilight-related Job now, but I’ll make sure to work hard on behalf of the rest of them.

After walking for a while, we came to a wall

It was a plain, flat, empty wall.

Everyone sighed tiredly at the dead end which we had kind of expected.

「What do you think, Sybilla?」

「I think everyone has guessed it already, but this shitty dungeon is probably just a square-shaped room with nothing but a pyramid.」

The fact that both Emmy and Eve laughed at that expression, I guess we all have indeed imagined the same structure for this second floor.

When viewed from above, this second floor is just an absurdly large square room with one huge pyramid in the middle.

Apart from that, there’s nothing at all, not even walls.

Putting it in one word, it’s messy… but the level of troublesomeness is one of the worst things about it.

We have nothing to rely on in finding a way out.

There’s no immediate danger, but our biggest enemy is probably 『a sense of futility』.

「Russell, just when you feel like it is fine, but please keep casting your chantless the extra-heal link regularly.」

「Roger」

「Emmy-chan, I want you to run alongside me.」

「Y-yes.」

After telling her that, Sybilla immediately started running.

Emmy hurriedly followed suit, and after a moment of eye contact, Eve and I started running after them.

「Sybilla-san and Emmy-san are kicking the ground on four corners of the pyramid, but… what was that all about?」

Emmy tilted her head in puzzlement at first but decided that since it was something that Sybilla said, it must have some sort of meaning, so she did as Sybilla asked and kicked the pyramid’s wall stones as hard as she could in several places.

Satisfied with the results, Sybilla descended the pyramid and began inspecting the ground of the second floor we’re standing on right now (although “ground” is a strange term to use here*).
