Episode 20: Anniversary Gacha and the Whimsical Elf
Today is my 7th birthday♪
At my mom’s request, I took a break from adventuring.
After replenishing our neighbors’ water jars with the life magic 〚Water〛, I returned home to have breakfast with my mom.

As Mystique-san sent her magic power towards me, I pushed back as instructed.
Mystique-san pulled her hand away in surprise.
「Wha-What’s this magic power! This isn’t the level of a 7-year-old! You’re on par with court mages, maybe even beyond! This is extraordinary! I’ll teach you the essence of magic, so leave it to me!」

「Today is your birthday, right? Enjoy it. We’ll start magic lessons tomorrow.」

My 7th birthday dinner was a joyous occasion with all our neighbors.
I received many gifts, and Mom even surprised me with a birthday cake♪
It was the best birthday I’ve ever had, even considering my past life.
After such a wonderful time, I went to bed, ready for the next day…
Late that night, an emergency meeting was held, inviting Mystique, the new magic teacher.
「Mystique, we are grateful that you have agreed to be Celestia’s magic teacher,」
Carmen said, expressing her thanks.
「When the Shadow Leader’s messenger came, I couldn’t believe you were still alive. I came to Cavia Town to see it with my own eyes, and I’m truly happy to see you alive, Carmen, and with such an adorable daughter, no less.」
Mystique replied, laughing.

The Shadow Leader asked directly.
Mystique responded with a smile,

「Celestia is a very diligent child. Since she was five, she has been depleting her magic power every day to increase it.」

Hearing Carmen’s words, Mystique is impressed, and Carmen tells her something that surprises everyone.

Carmen replied.
「Lady Margarita… I couldn’t protect her back then… But I must protect this girl, no, Celestia-sama,」
Mystique resolved.
「What about revealing her origins?」
「She’s still too young. We’ll explain it to her when she turns ten.」
「Understood.」
Thus, the emergency meeting concluded.
Three years later, Celestia would learn of her origins and face a turning point in her life, but that was still a future event.

Episode 22: Lessons from Mystique-sensei
The day after my birthday.
Today, Mystique-sensei will begin teaching me magic.
I was so excited about finally learning magic properly that I woke up with high spirits.
As I left my room and headed to the kitchen for breakfast, Mom called out to me.
「Good morning! Did you sleep well?」

After our morning greeting and finishing breakfast, I set off to learn magic from Mystique-sensei.
「I’m heading out! I love you, Mom!」

After our usual hug, I left the house.
I was surprised to see Mystique-sensei waiting for me in front of the house, but I greeted her.
「Good morning. Sorry to keep you waiting.」
「Good morning, girl. Starting today, I’ll be teaching you magic. It’s not easy, so be prepared.」
「Yes, I’ll do my best to earn your approval, Sensei!」
「Good. Follow me.」
As instructed, I followed Sensei.
I felt excited, wondering what kind of lessons awaited me.
We entered the forest and came to a small clearing.
Sensei sat down on a tree stump, so I sat next to her.
