Volume 3: Academy Arc
Episode 1: To Know the World
I turned ten and gained the 〘Holy Eye〙.
Until now, I’ve done my best to stay out of the spotlight, waiting to obtain the 〘Holy Eye〙.
Now that I have the power of the 〘Holy Eye〙, it’s time to take the necessary actions to use and control this power.
I’m not entirely sure how these actions will differ from what I’ve done so far, but since Mom decided this, I’ll leave everything to her without question.
Here’s what was decided:
1. To use and control the power of the 〘Holy Eye〙, further growth of both body and mind is necessary.
2. Celestia needs to learn the world’s common sense, as she’s been living away from society.
3. Celestia must interact with her peers, as she has been raised in an environment surrounded only by adults.
Apparently, there’s a place where I can accomplish all three at once, and that place is a school.
So, it was decided that I would attend school and live a student’s life♪
When I think about all the typical events of student life, like meeting best friends or encountering someone special, just imagining it makes me feel so full♪
The place I’m going to attend to learn about the world is the 【National Tiarad Academy】.
It’s a boarding school in the imperial capital, Kingston, that focuses on cultivating well-rounded elites in both academics and martial arts.
Moreover, the school prides itself on the principle of “equality for all”, so even commoners can attend if they pass the entrance exam.
Since it’s a school where both nobles and commoners attend, I can learn from both perspectives, so it’s a win-win!
And so, I headed to the imperial capital, Kingston, to take the entrance exam for Tiarad Academy♪

Episode 2: The Grand Academy
I arrived in the imperial capital, Kingston, a week ago to take the entrance exam for 【Tiarad Academy】.
This time, I came to Kingston with Mom and Brad, making us a party of three.
Officially, we’re a family of three who came to take the entrance exam for Tiarad Academy, with a little sightseeing in the imperial capital on the side.
As expected of the capital of the Tiarad Empire, the city is filled with grand buildings, and I couldn’t help but look around wide-eyed as we walked, making it painfully obvious that I was from the countryside… (sweat).
The number of people here is something I’ve never experienced before, and if I didn’t hold onto Mom’s hand, I felt like I’d get lost in the crowd.
I started to worry if I’d be able to live in such a bustling place if I passed the entrance exam (sweat).
After dropping off our luggage at the inn where we’ll be staying until the exam is over, we decided to go see 【Tiarad Academy】, where the entrance exam would be held.
The route to Tiarad Academy was easy to find once we walked along the main street.
After all, there was a massive school building situated within an expansive area that could be mistaken for a castle.
「That’s Tiarad Academy.」
「So, this is it. If I pass the entrance exam, this is the academy I’ll be attending! With a place this big, I might end up getting lost inside…」
I was so amazed by the sheer size of the academy that I couldn’t help but talk to Mom about it.
「It’s certainly an impressive academy. I hope you pass the entrance exam and get admitted♪ But I’m sure you’ll be just fine, Selen♪」
「Yeah, I’ll do my best♪」
Mom’s gentle response immediately put me at ease.
I had done my best to prepare for the entrance exam, and now that I’d seen the academy beforehand, I wouldn’t be overwhelmed by its size on the exam day.
I was filled with determination, thinking, “I’m going to do this!”.
And then, the day of the entrance exam arrived.

Episode 3: The Entrance Exam
The first day of the entrance exam for Tiarad Academy was the academic test.
Mom accompanied me all the way to the academy’s main gate.
I thought maybe the other applicants would be the same as me, with their parents coming along, but when I looked around… almost all the kids had come to Tiarad Academy alone (sweat).
「Selen, you haven’t forgotten anything, right? Stay calm, okay?」
「Yeah, I’m fine! I’m off then♪ I love you, Mom, so much!」
「Oh, um, I love you too, sweetie♪」
Hearing Mom’s anxious voice, I responded calmly, as usual, hugging her.
Seeing this, she seemed to relax.
「It looks like I’m not the only one who wasn’t calm♪ I’ll do my best, Mom.」
After we smiled at each other and parted ways, I walked through the main gate of Tiarad Academy and headed to the exam venue.
At the reception desk, I submitted my exam ticket, and they gave me my exam number and the location of my exam room, but…
「I’m here to take the entrance exam. My name is Selen.」
「Hm, a commoner, huh? You’re in Room D.」
「Ah, thank you very much.」
The response was rather cold…
It seems that nobles and commoners are treated differently.
While I was thinking about this, the area suddenly became noisy.
「This is Prince Slaine! Your exam room is Room A. I will personally escort you there!」
「No need for an escort. The school’s motto is ‘equality for all’, so I’d prefer to be treated like everyone else.」
The boy, who was addressed as “Your Highness”, smiled as he declined, but the receptionist hurriedly stopped him, bowing deeply.
「We cannot afford to make any mistakes with royalty. It would damage the prestige of Tiarad Academy. I will personally take responsibility and escort you to the exam room.」
「Hmm, this is a bit troublesome (sweat). But I guess there’s no helping it. Please go ahead and escort me to the room.」
「Understood.」
So, this year even a member of the royal family is taking the entrance exam…
If I pass, we might be classmates.
I hope I don’t end up in the same class as him (sweat).
I arrived at Room D, where the exam would be held, and took a seat at the desk marked with my exam number, 【2345】.
While waiting for the exam to begin, I glanced around the room and noticed that there were over 500 people in Room D alone.
With Rooms A to D, that means there are at least 2,500 applicants…
And since only 100 students can be admitted, the competition ratio is 25 to 1.
That’s intense (sweat).
As I was thinking about all this, the examiner entered the room and began explaining the academic test.
Here’s a rough outline of what they said:
– The academic test consists of three subjects: 【Magic Studies】, 【Mathematics】, and 【Holy Studies】, each worth 100 points.
– The time allotted for each subject is 120 minutes.
– If any cheating is discovered, the candidate will be immediately disqualified and lose their right to take the entrance exam.
That was pretty much it.
