Episode 23: Rapid Growth
Two months have passed since I started special lessons with Marie-sensei. By exhausting my magical power every night with the “Daily Gacha” and receiving special lessons from Marie-sensei at the Adventurer Training Course, my stats have grown rapidly.

The best part is that thanks to the 〘Disguise〙 skill, I can pretend that the only skills I have are 〘Daily Gacha〙 and 〘Life Magic〙.
This means no one will know I have elemental magic, and I can avoid the risk of serving the kingdom.
Marie-sensei is a master of 〘Fan Technique〙 at Lv8, and she’s currently teaching me fan combat techniques.
Since I’ve acquired martial arts, I’m now able to engage in close combat, and I’m about to start monster subjugation lessons!
Marie-sensei also taught me something interesting about magic.
「Since you can use Life Magic, Selen-san, you might be able to learn elemental magic as well.」
「Really? Can you learn elemental magic if you can use Life Magic?」
「Life Magic is classified as an 【Abyss】 element, which is actually quite special. If you can use fire, water, earth, and wind through Life Magic, there’s a rare chance you might learn elemental magic. I myself can use 〘Wind Magic〙, so I can teach you. Would you like to try practicing it?」
「Marie-sensei, please teach me 〘Wind Magic〙!」
「Just remember, it’s not guaranteed you’ll learn it, so don’t get your hopes up too high.」

Marie-sensei agreed to teach me not only martial arts but also 〘Wind Magic〙.

Episode 24: First Subjugation vs. Slime
As part of my special lessons with Marie-sensei, we decided to have an outdoor class to train in subjugating monsters♪.
This time, our target was the slime, the weakest and most well-known monster.
We borrowed some basic equipment from the Adventurers’ Guild before heading out for the special subjugation class.
The borrowed equipment included:

After leaving town with Marie-sensei, we entered a forest slightly away from the main road to look for slimes.
Using my 〘Presence Detection〙, I sensed a faint presence that felt like a slime about 20 meters to the east.
As I started walking towards the east, Marie-sensei called out to me.
「Selen-san, it’s dangerous to move recklessly in the forest. Let’s proceed while paying attention to our surroundings.」
「Um… Sensei, I felt a presence that seemed like a monster over there.」
「A monster’s presence? I understand. Let’s head in the direction you sensed, Selen-san.」
As we moved a little further, we found a slime that hadn’t noticed us yet.
Marie-sensei seemed a bit surprised but gave me instructions.
「Selen-san, as long as you follow the practice, there won’t be any problems. Calmly aim for the core in the center of its body with your spear.」
「Yes, Marie-sensei. Here I go!」
I readied my spear and charged at the slime, aiming for the core visible in its center.
「Take this!」

Surprisingly, I defeated the slime so easily.
I turned back to Marie-sensei with a smile and reported.
「Marie-sensei, I defeated the slime♪.」
Marie-sensei, who had been watching my fight, praised me with a smile.
「Well done♪. But this was to be expected given your abilities, Selen-san. Let’s continue looking for slimes. Also, remember to extract the magic stone from the core of the slime as proof of subjugation.」
「Yes, understood♪.」
After that, I continued to locate and subjugate slimes using my 〘Presence Detection〙.
After defeating several slimes, I felt the detection range of 〘Presence Detection〙 had widened, so I asked Marie-sensei about it.
「Marie-sensei, I feel the detection range of 〘Presence Detection〙 has widened recently.」
「The skill level of 〘Presence Detection〙 must have increased. As the level goes up, the range and accuracy of detection improve.」
「Should I keep using it regularly?」
「If you have enough magical power, that would be best.」

My subjugation lesson ended before the sun set, and we returned to the Adventurers’ Guild. That day, I had defeated more than 20 slimes.

Episode 25: First Level Up
The subjugation lesson ended before dusk.
Marie-sensei and I returned to town and headed to the Adventurers’ Guild.
Following Marie-sensei, I reported the completion of the subjugation quest at the reception counter.
「Excuse me, I’m Selen, a student of the Adventurers’ Training Course. Today, I completed the subjugation of slimes during an outdoor lesson, so I’d like to proceed with the completion of the subjugation quest.」
When I reported in a loud voice to the receptionist, she responded with a smile.
「You’re one of Marie-senpai’s students. Please place the magic stones, which serve as proof of subjugation, on this tray.」
「Yes!」
I energetically replied and placed the 20 magic stones from the subjugated slimes on the tray.
「Alright, there are 20 slime magic stones in total. You’ve subjugated quite a few slimes! Each slime magic stone is worth 10 copper coins, so in total, that’s 200 copper coins, which is equivalent to 2 silver coins.」
I received the 2 silver coins as the subjugation payment from the receptionist and thanked her.
「Thank you, Onee-san. I look forward to working with you again when I complete another subjugation.」
「Yes, keep up the good work.」
After completing the subjugation procedure and receiving the payment, it was time to head home, so Marie-sensei walked me back.
「Selen-san, there’s one month left in the Adventurers’ Training Course. Let’s continue to work hard on magic practice and subjugation training during that time.」
「Thank you, Marie-sensei. I’m looking forward to the next special lesson♪」
After our conversation in front of my house, I bid farewell to Marie-sensei and went inside.
「Mom, I’m home~!」

As soon as I entered the house, I hugged Mom and, during dinner, shared various details about my day. Then, I returned to my room to check my status.

Episode 26: Investigating Space Magic
I woke up… and understandably, my spirits were low. Despite drawing the Rank S skill 〘Space Magic〙 from the 〘Daily Gacha〙, I had fallen asleep before I could celebrate (cry).
Well, it couldn’t be helped since I had exhausted my mana…
I decided to explain this to Mom and get some comfort from her♪
「Mom, last night, I drew an amazing skill, but I fell asleep before I could celebrate (cry).」
「Oh dear, poor Selen. Let me give you some advice. From today, after you draw from the 〘Daily Gacha〙, check its contents. Then, use the life magic 〚Wind〛 to deplete your mana afterwards.」
「Oh, that’s it! Mom, you’re so smart! I love you so much♪」
「Ufufu, Mom loves you so much too, Selen.」
As usual, we ended our conversation with a hug, and I got fully recharged with Mom’s warmth♪
Thanks to Mom’s idea, I can now avoid falling asleep right after drawing from the 〘Daily Gacha〙. I wanted to call myself stupid for thinking I had to draw from it at the end of the day (lol).
Next, I appraised 〘Space Magic〙.
〘Space Magic〙 is magic that can manipulate space. There are three types of space in 〘Space Magic〙: space, subspace, and spacetime, all of which can be controlled. 〘Space〙 refers to the physical space of the real world. 〘Subspace〙 is a parallel dimension space alongside the real world. 〘Spacetime〙 refers to the space of the dimension that governs time.
I tried appraising it, but it’s quite difficult. It seems like I’ll have to learn how to use 〘Space Magic〙 through practice.
I think I can use things like 〘Space Transfer〙 and 〘Infinite Storage〙. After all, this is a fantasy world♪
I can’t wait to use 〘Space Transfer〙 to travel to my favorite places, and use 〘Infinite Storage〙 to store delicious food from around the world and eat whenever I want♪
