Volume 5 Chapter 33: Movements Elsewhere
A certain morning a few days after Axel had entered the Spirit Realm.
Saki laid sprawled on a sofa in the lobby of the Medical Guild’s main hall, looking utterly drained.
「Aaah… I can’t get motivated without Axel around…」
「Hey, come on, Laiznoir! You are getting too listless!」
「What? You say that, but you were crying just yesterday because you missed your master and needed his warmth!」
「I wasn’t crying! It was just something in my eye! And besides, I’ve been helping out now! I know our master will return once the Spirit Road is open, so that’s given me some motivation!」
Despite what she said, Saki could tell that Berzelia’s energy was running on fumes.
「Well… I know that Axel is safe over there, and is working on getting back. I should probably get to work too.」
「Right, right! Let’s go work together, whether it’s in the lab or the guild, while we wait for the Master to return.」
Just as they had such an exchange.
「Excuse me.」
The voice came from the reception counter in the lobby.
It belonged to a beautiful woman, clad in elegant black attire.
「I heard that the Courier Axel is in this city. I was hoping someone could tell me where he might be… Ah, I should introduce myself first. My name is Ubume.」
