Volume 6 Chapter 20: Comeback
The spear, pulled from the water column, shimmered with a fantastical blend of blue and silver, its colors swirling together.
And, as if responding to Daisy’s hand, it floated in the air.
The moment Lorie saw it—

She couldn’t help but shudder.
Inside the spear, an overwhelming power swirled. That was the sensation she felt.
…This is terrifying. It’s almost like it’s draining my stamina just to perceive it…
In a trembling she had never experienced before, Lorie watched.

Daisy, holding the spear, hurled it with all her might toward Axel.

Lorie watched as Axel, without even looking, caught the spear.

Lorie saw it.
Axel spun the spear once in his hand before pressing its tip against the armored knight’s arm. And then,

He severed the armored knight’s arm.
Lorie witnessed with her own eyes the overwhelming sight of the godly armor being shattered.

I could feel the heavy weight settling in my hand.
「Daisy. Thanks to you, I think I’ll manage now.」
Looking in the direction from which the spear came, I saw Daisy helping Lorie, whose legs wouldn’t move, away from the spring.
Her expression was bright, and she gave me a thumbs-up.
I returned the gesture with a smile before turning my attention back to the opponent in front of me.
There, the armored knight held his severed arm in his other hand.
And after examining the cut with interest—
【The ingenuity of humans is indeed impressive.】
He tossed the arm behind him.
At the same time, the sword that had been held in the remaining hand of the armor—
—Twisted.
It warped, as if it had been heated to a high temperature or like taffy, flowing and shifting into a new form.
Then, it started to fuse with the severed arm, replacing the part that was cut off.
From the elbow down, it transformed into a fist holding the sword.
「A-Axel! Be careful! That armor’s mana—it’s growing, swelling enormously!」
Lorie’s voice reached me from behind.
She, being a spirit, must have felt it very acutely.

I could feel it too.
The pressure from the armor in front of me had risen.

The armored knight pulled back his right arm, getting into a stance.
