Chapter 108

In the Dragon Palace, there are many rooms prepared for talks between the Celestial Dragon Emperors and the Dragon God Emperors. But inside one of those rooms right now, a silence had fallen, so quiet that it hurt the ears.

The materials of the building itself were glowing a luminescent white, bright enough to light up the figures of the six beings inside the room, but it was dubious whether or not it was necessary to shed light on the expressions on their faces.

The six dragons sitting at the table are part of the lineage of the seven Primordial Dragons, the ones who reign supreme over all Dragonkin. If someone who knew of their lineage were there, they would likely be so surprised, they’d be speechless. The Three Celestial Dragon Emperors and the Three Dragon God Emperors who exist in this world (on this planet) had transformed into human forms so they could all gather in this room.

With black hair darker than darkness and with a gloss that made it seem like it was sprinkled with starlight, there was a woman who possessed out of this world beauty, and was praised as the strongest Water Dragon Emperor in history; her name is Ryoukichi.

The one with a rectangular face that looked like a chess board, and bulging eyes and whiskers that made him look like a catfish, there was a man in the prime of his life, known as Kourin, the Fire Dragon Emperor.

The innocent, young girl in her teens with her jade-green hair tied up with a coral hair clip was the Wind Dragon Emperor, Fuka.

With his hair, eyes, scales, and even his neat, nobility-like clothing all a dark black color, but with skin so pale he looked like a sick person, there was also the Black Dragon Emperor, Engulzard.

The middle aged man full of vitality, bulky muscles, and a big-boned frame, had flowing gold hair, and an overwhelming presence emanating from his whole body, and was known as the Golden Dragon Emperor, Gorberum.

Lastly, the sixth person had a long beard and hair as white as snow, and he was the oldest and most powerful of the seven Primordial Dragons, the White Dragon Emperor Conquester.

These six dragons could easily destroy this world, or even this whole solar system, in a single day, but the reason why they were all silent was because of the emergency situation that Ryoukichi had summoned them to tell them about.

The only one in the room who held a physical body was Ryoukichi, while the other five were still in their respective castles, and had created a projection of their bodies and voices in this room.

However, aside from Ryoukichi, the other five had expressions of distress and confusion on their faces, which were so detailed and intense, it was hard to believe their bodies were only temporary illusions.

As the situation had unfolded exactly as Ryoukichi had predicted, she looked down and sighed, her chest heaving with her exhalation.

In response to Ryoukichi hiding her sorrowful eyes, Conquester erased any emotion from his own face, as he opened his mouth, which was hidden underneath his thick beard.

He had power and spiritual energy befitting of his title as the strongest in the world, but even he could not help but be nervous from Ryoukichi’s words.

「Ryoukichi, what you said just now, those are words that all dragons in this world must never overlook.

I don’t necessarily doubt you, but I must ask you again to clarify. Are you certain you aren’t mistaken?」

「Yes, Conquester. I swear on the name of my parent, Leviathan, that I speak no falsehood.

In approximately fifty to sixty years, the Seven Primordial Dragons will come to the world we live in, and look for us」

「This is the first time this has happened since I came to this earth and made a residence for myself here, but I see, the Seven Primordial Dragons will be coming here to play.

Even though it’s already so rare for True Dragons to leave the Dragon World, Bahamut and Leviathan are…」

It seems the shock was too strong and he couldn’t quite sort out his thoughts, as Conquester leaned back on his chair and stroked his beard.

Instead of Conquester, who kept his mouth closed, it was Gorberum who had no choice but to demand an explanation from Ryoukichi.

「Certainly if that’s really the truth, then it would be a good enough reason for you to call for an emergency meeting. No, if you hadn’t called for a meeting, I would have thought you to be a fool, or even a traitor.

But still, Ryoukichi. Oh great and noble Ryoukichi, why did you keep it from us that Dragon had reincarnated and visited you?」

Gorberum, his voice full of lament, was the spokesperson for the sentiments of every other dragon in the room besides Ryoukichi.

In their eyes, Dragon, as one of the Seven Primordial Dragons, was an absolute god, and the fact that he had reincarnated in this world with his consciousness and memories intact, and Ryoukichi had come into contact with him without telling anyone, Gorberum felt like that was an act equal to betrayal.

Ryoukichi was painfully aware of that, so she stood up from her seat and bowed her head in front of everyone else.

If any of her retainers in the palace could see her now, they would surely faint at the sight and cry rivers of sorrowful tears.

「I sincerely apologize. Your anger, your sadness– I, Ryoukichi, feel it as well, painfully so.

Following Dragon’s wishes, I did not tell any of you that he had reincarnated as the human named Dran, until today.

On top of having been reborn as a human, he wishes to experience human life to the fullest.

Dran has predicted that the Seven Primordial Dragons would descend to earth in fifty to sixty years, and that it would likely happen during his natural lifespan as a human.」

Why would Dragon want to live out his human life, and why won’t he return to his old form as an Ancient Celestial Dragon and be our ruler once again? Those were the doubts that Gorberum and the others had in their hearts, but Conquester was the only one who seemed calmed as he mumbled.

「I see. Considering Dragon’s nature, it is natural for him to think that way. He is slightly peculiar, in that way」

For Conquester, being the only one besides Ryoukichi to have known Dragon during his previous life, it made sense that Dragon would choose to live as a human, even if he didn’t know about the reincarnation curse.

Since Conquester had shown that he agreed with Ryoukichi’s words, Gorberum and the others accepted it too, albeit reluctantly.

「So then, Ryoukichi, did Dragon– no, it is Dran, now. Did Dran tell you anything else about the great Seven Dragons’ descent to this earth?」

「Yes. Dran told me that when the time comes for the Seven Dragons to arrive, they will likely contact him beforehand, so he will contact me so I can tell all of you about it.

So the likelihood that they will arrive suddenly without any warning is not very high.

It is confirmed that Leviathan and Bahamut will definitely come, but we are still unsure about Alexander and Hyperion.

Alexander had a fickle nature, and Hyperion will not wake up from slumber, even if the planet is destroyed, so they might not arrive.

But, Dran also said Vritra is the one who may come here without any prior warning.

If that happens, Fuka will be best at not letting her guard down」

Upon hearing her own name come up in conversation, Fuka let out a tiny yelp.

The one who stands as ruler over all Wind Dragons is Vritra after all, so it was likely that he would show up in front of Fuka first.

In her castle, she can put up a commanding attitude appropriate for a Wind Dragon Emperor, but here, she is surrounded by beings far superior to herself, so her heart nervously strained to find someone to rely on. She unconsciously turned her eyes to Ryoukichi, as if clinging to her for support.

「Ryo-Ryoukichi, it embarrasses me to say this, but I do not possess the knowledge of etiquette required to welcome an Ancient Celestial Dragon. If it is not too much to ask, would you please teach me?」

「When it comes to the etiquette of welcoming the Primordial Dragons, you’re not the only one who doesn’t know. Conquester and myself both have no idea.

After all, we have never officially welcomed any of the Seven Primordial Dragons before. There are several instructional books, but the content may not be correct.

Dran says that those in the Dragon World do not fuss over small details such as etiquette, so it would not be impolite if you just welcome them as you would a state guest.

Dran has already visited the Imperial Palace many times, but he’s always told me that I don’t have to provide an extravagant welcome for him」

「Is that really the case? But still, I wonder what kind of person Vritra is. I’ve always respected him as leader of my kind, but I do not know anything about real form, so I am slightly anxious」

Besides Ryoukichi, who has had many encounters with Dran already, all the other dragons shared Fuka’s feelings.

In the eyes of most Dragonkin on earth, the Seven Primordial Dragons are existences who live above the clouds, beings who only appear in fairy tales, so any information about them comes from stories and rumors, clouded in mist.

The only thing that was clear was that they were the origin of all the Dragonkin, and they held such tremendous, transcendent power, that anyone on earth wouldn’t even be able to compare.

The fact that such dream-like beings would come to earth in just fifty years, they were all in a state of high chaos and confusion.

This is something that will require Dran’s help to sort out, or so Ryoukichi decided, so she would have to bring Dran here someday soon.

Since Dran has experience interacting with Dragonkin here on earth already, it would be best to have him come here and help the Dragon Emperors get used to him first.

Then, Ryoukichi turned her eyes toward Engulzard, who had kept silent all this time.

At first glance, the young Dragon Emperor clouded in black looked like he would remain silent, as he had fallen into a state of mental instability from being in a situation he had never imagined before, and was in no state to speak.

If they were to meet with the Seven Primordial Dragons in the flesh, Ryoukichi had no idea how those encounters would turn out. So, it made sense that she had many concerns.

Lastly, the sixth person had a long beard and hair as white as snow, and he was the oldest and most powerful of the seven Primordial Dragons, the White Dragon Emperor Conquester.

shouldnt it be “most powerful of the six emperor” ? or is it typo from the author ? since they’re the six emperor and not the primordial dragons
