Chapter 233
On the copper-red ground, several dragons were lined up in an orderly fashion. Any other creature that met these dragons in battle would no doubt surrender and flee immediately; fighting would not be an option. These folks looked like a mere shadow of the most powerful race in existence—faux dragons.
At first glance, they appeared indistinguishable from real dragons. Some of them had numerous small wings that seemed useless for flying, with lumps of flesh growing out from between purple bumps. Others were insect-like creatures with large elongated bodies. Countless legs extended from their torsos and compound eyes covered a large portion of their faces.
There were those who controlled fire, others who manipulated water, and even more masters of wind and earth. These descendants of faux dragons that had banded together were made up of countless summoners of thunder, light, darkness, sound, ice, plague, poison, heat, and all sorts of attributes.
Faux dragons were particularly similar to dragons on earth in the sense that they rarely formed packs or groups. They might participate in an army under the leadership of a god, or a higher-ranked demon or demigod serving the same god. However, it was unusual for faux dragons to form an entire military force under orderly control on earth.
If a descendant of the evil gods had made this happen, it signaled one thing—a fearful higher being, a terrifying existence for all living creatures, had descended on the earth. On the other hand, if the demon clans on the earth were controlling these faux dragons, that indicated something different. It meant that a tremendous dominator had been born, one that could even rule over these faux dragons.
Either way, the barony of Bern and Arkrest Kingdom would eventually enter a war with the forces of the dark wilderness. The opponents they had to face included these faux dragons, and such knowledge was nothing more than the embodiment of a bad omen. This future would be far more threatening than being a mere troublesome problem to deal with.
For the faux dragons, it was not uncommon for them to slaughter other races. Even conflict within the species that led to bloodshed was a regular occurrence. Presently, these faux dragons were quietly listening to the duo speaking before them.
One of them was a woman with bluish-black skin, silver hair, and curved horns extending from either side of her head. Her facial features were sculpted and sharp, with golden pupils shining through her obsidian eyes. The second of the pair was a red-haired young man, with a lower body of a beast. His lower body was covered in yellow fur, and he had a third arm sprouting from his back.
Members of the demon clan tended to have peculiar appearances with each generation. The two in the video, with their strange appearances, were the first demons of this era and this planet that Dran had set his eyes on ever since he was reborn as a human.
These two were probably the descendants of a faction that had migrated from the demon realm to the earth. Despite the fact that they had little to no divine authority or status as gods, they were certainly one of the strongest humanoid creatures on this planet, with strength on par or even greater than vampires and dragonians.
Judging from their behavior, this pair had to be the superiors of the faux dragons. The woman with bluish-black skin gestured for some time, probably communicating with the faux dragons. After she finished, the faux dragons soared high into the sky. They split up into small groups and then dispersed respectively.
The demons also floated up into the air after them, supervising the faux dragons as they bombarded targets on the ground from the sky using faux dragon spells, dark magic, and dragon breaths.
This scene was followed by footage of training exercises. The faux dragons lifted countless soldiers into the air, swooped in on specific targets on the ground, and swiftly transported their forces into a fake enemy camp.
These videos made a fact clear. The forces of the dark wilderness had already reached the stage of incorporating faux dragons into their strategies and tactics, and practical training was already in motion.
