Victorique puffed on her pipe, exhaling tobacco smoke. In a voice as raspy as an old woman’s, she explained, “Actually, Kujou. I still don’t know Kid’s exact plan. Fragments of chaos are still scattered everywhere.”

“Uh-huh.”

“But according to Kelly Sue, no one has an accurate map of Central Park, and no one really knows what’s where. There are even urban legends about underground secret bases.”

“Go on.”

“But by applying the process of elimination, we arrive at a possibility. If the buildings around the Federal Reserve Bank are being searched and locked down, and if the robbers are planning to hide nearby…” Victorique puffed another cloud of smoke from her pipe, her voice lowering. “Central Park is the only place left.”

“I see. So you think Kid might be hiding in the park or that there’s an underground passage connecting to the bank?”

“Exactly. And we’re also going to search for the real map
